“We visited Café 38 Concept after our local pottery guide in Tafza recommended it to us following a pottery workshop in the village – and we can only warmly recommend it ourselves. If you are looking for an alternative to the crowded, tourist-heavy restaurants down in the Ourika Valley by the river with their plastic chairs and mass-tourism atmosphere, this is the perfect place. Café 38 Concept completely exceeded our expectations. They offer a small, carefully curated menu with dishes changing daily, and you can truly tell that everything is prepared fresh to order. You can hear the team chopping, cooking, and preparing everything in the kitchen while you wait – and the result is outstanding. Quite honestly, we ate better here than anywhere during our stay in Marrakesh. The warm and attentive team prepares wonderfully fresh food with great care and passion. We enjoyed delicious Moroccan starters, perfectly grilled skewers, and a beautifully prepared dessert. Tagines are also available, but as everything is freshly made, it is worth bringing a little patience. The café itself is beautifully designed, with stylish interiors, a lovely small garden, and additional seating out front. Anyone looking to enjoy authentic, freshly prepared food in a charming setting away from the tourist crowds should absolutely take the opportunity to eat here. Highly recommended!”
