“Above all else the property has charm.|The owners are lovely, the views spectacular, the rooms beautiful and it's just so peaceful.||Note this is not a full service hotel, the owners are available for anything you need, bringing us glasses, bathrobes, a coffee tray, as and when required, but meals are pretty much take it or leave it.||That said, the best meals we had on our entire trip to Morocco were at the hotel.||Breakfast is a simple omelette, with fresh breads, jam, olives and peanut sauce. Coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. One night we had Moroccan spiced roasted chicken with potatoes, the next a beef and prune Tagine with beans. Side salads and fresh breads accompanied them, wine and beer were available. To finish home made tart or cake.||Then there is the view of the Atlas Mountains. Wonderful.”

“A great rid, it the middle of the fields, with large comfortable rooms, a view to the High Atlas, great common space and pool. It must me amazing using the summer. The ladies the manage to Riad are extremely kind and great cooks!!! A visit to the deep Ourika valley is highly recomendable!!!”

“We booked Kasba Atfel last-minute through Booking.com when we found ourselves nearby needing a place to stay and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip. The property is absolutely stunning: beautiful architecture, spotless rooms, and a peaceful garden and pool area that feels like a private oasis. It wasn’t crowded during our stay, so at times it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We were hosted by Aziz and his wife, who are both genuinely kind and welcoming. Aziz has such a calm presence, and we immediately felt at home. We loved it so much that we extended our stay for a second night, and honestly would have stayed longer if we didn’t have to catch a flight. We also had dinner here one night, and the tajine was among the best we had during our entire trip in Morocco. If you’re in the area, don’t hesitate to book here. You won’t regret it.”

“While others in my party had quite nice, spacious rooms, I was in a modest and fairly charmless box on the roof. It was adequate but in no way exceptional - comfortable and warm enough bed, adequate bathroom, small seating area, uninteresting view, slow and unreliable WiFi. It was neither particularly good, nor bad. Breakfast at least was good, as was dinner. Pleasant staff, though at full occupancy they may struggle to be sufficiently attentive. Large pool, though given it was winter I didn't try. Though it was adequate I would not stay here again (at least, not in the twin rooms).”

“The accommodation was chosen due to its location near to the Anima Andre Heller gardens (excellent by the way).|We had quite mixed feelings about our stay here. On the positive side, the hotel buildings and grounds are beautiful, our room was the largest of all the accommodation used in our tour of Morocco, everywhere was clean and tidy and we found the evening dinner to be very good. |However there were a number of negative issues. Welcome on arrival wasn’t great, one of the few places not to offer tea or any refreshment as we arrived. There was a problem with the bathroom sink draining that left a gungy mess in the sink that we only discovered later in the day. Quite surprised this was not addressed when undertaking a standard clean of the room. |Breakfast at €6.50 person was the worst we had in Morocco in terms of volume comprising just a small one egg omelette, jam, some bread/pancakes, juice, tea and coffee. Similar to some budget options we experienced but this wasn’t budget. For similar price points elsewhere, we saw yoghurt, fresh fruit, pastries and cakes. Sheets on the bed were not the best quality which seemed a little bizarre when so much was invested in the hotel.|Subjectively, it seems the place somehow lacked soul. The place is run on a shoestring and although the staff are pleasant enough, for the price point, we would look for somewhere else if we were to return.”

“Lovely building in lovely grounds, with an oh so tempting pool (pity it being December!) our room in the top floor was immaculately clean, warm and comfortable, with some superb views. A very enjoyable evening meal, and a similarly good breakfast - the latter being served out by the pool. An added treat were the clementines just picked from the tree, to complement our breakfast. Very conveniently placed for Marrakech Airport, for anyone not wanting the hustle and bustle of the city. Airport transfers possible. Up an unmade road, but (unusual for Morocco) in good order. A very warm welcome from the hosts, and their staff.”
