“The owner scammed me. I arrived at the hotel on June 4, 2026, with a confirmed and prepaid Agoda reservation. Upon arrival, I was informed that the hotel was full and that no room was available for me. The owner, Alain Coudeyre, claims he tried to contact me beforehand, but I never received any message. (see screenshot of what he showed me he sent with his name on it.) The hotel staff told me at the time that I would be refunded.||Because the area was fully booked due to a wedding, I had no choice but to share another guest's room. I never received the private room that I paid for.||When I contacted Agoda after my stay, I learned that the hotel owner was refusing to issue a refund. His explanation was that he incurred city tax charges for me, which are 3.50Euros per night. This does not justify charging me for a room that was never provided.||The key fact is simple: I paid for a private room, and the hotel did not provide one, then refused to refund me. ||I will say that the staff, Meriem and Moh, are wonderful.”
