“I stayed at this hotel for one night, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The room was not clean — there were visible stains on the bed sheets and pillowcases. Both the bedsheets and the bed cover were old, and the towels looked very worn out. The main lights in the room weren’t working, so I had to rely on the lampshades for lighting. The TV didn’t work, and the wall panel for the AC was broken, so I couldn’t adjust the temperature. Inside the wardrobe, there was an old, dry blanket that had a very unpleasant smell. At check-in, the staff member at the front desk asked many questions — more than I’m used to compared to other hotels. However, I did come across some other staff who were friendly and helpful. Considering the condition of the room and the service, the hotel was not cheap, which made the experience even more frustrating. On the positive side, the bathroom was clean, and the room had a balcony with a partial view of the beach. I hope the hotel management takes steps to improve cleanliness, maintenance, and the overall guest experience.”

“La rénovation est très réussie et les chambres sont vraiment spacieuses. Par contre, la qualité des finitions laisse à désirer : la porte de la douche était mal posée et ne fermait pas, la poignée de la porte du balcon était abîmée, une fenêtre du couloir était mal fixée et menaçait de tomber, et une des portes vitrées du restaurant était sérieusement fissurée. En plus, le sol du restaurant était vraiment sale, ce qui est dommage pour un établissement de ce standing. Et pour finir : il faut remplacer les deux tapis rouges du hall, on en trouve de bien meilleurs partout ailleurs !”

“Cet hôtel a du potentiel, mais il est mal entretenu et pas très propre. La vue sur la baie est belle, mais les fenêtres sales gâchent tout. Les oreillers sentaient le renfermé, le dessus-de-lit n'avait pas l'air frais. Le tapis près du lit et les verres dans la salle de bain étaient sales. Les serviettes étaient dépareillées, usées et jaunies. La baignoire aurait besoin d'être rejointoyée. Le bâtiment et les chambres sont bien conçus. Avec un peu d'effort, ce serait un hôtel vraiment sympa au lieu d'un endroit qui donne une impression de crasse et de fatigue. Le petit-déjeuner était correct.”

“There really aren't any top level choices for hotels in Al Hoceima. The Suites Hotel Mohammed V is the best one that I have found. It is very conveniently located right next to the central square of the city, Place Mohammed VI, on the side of a hill looking directly out over the beautiful small beach of Quemada. ||The rooms are all "suites" -- larger than the average room with a sitting area, flat screen television, large and very comfortable bed, balcony overlooking the beach, separate bathroom and shower/bathtub. The hotel underwent major renovation and opened just early in 2011. It is totally different than it was previously. ||The hotel also has a nice restaurant on the bottom floor which also serves the complimentary breakfast. There is a bar on the main floor that had just received a liquor license and was serving a variety of drinks. Prices in the bar and the restaurant were not outrageous. Internet connectivity was provided by WIFI in the reception area and some of the rooms and then wired internet in the rooms. I stayed for two weeks for business and the internet was frustrating as it would work for a while, stop for half an hour, come back up and then go down again. Everyone in the hotel complained about the internet (which was free), but you get what you pay for.||Personnel were very friendly. There is a parking area directly in front of the hotel and had sufficient places for all those who were staying in the hotel. There was a security man around the hotel in the night time. The hotel is actually three floors. You enter on the main reception floor and then there are two floors down by elevator where the rooms are. The hotel does not have a swimming pool, nor does it have a fitness center (although they said one was being finished and the hotel brochure actually claims that there is one).||Room prices were reasonable for the quality. I did have a problem with the shower door not closing properly and water would constantly get onto the floor. It wasn't a flood, but had to be careful when stepping out of the shower onto the marble floors to be sure I didn't slip and fall. ||I previously stayed in Al Hoceima at the Hotel La Perla. The Suites Hotel Mohammed V is considerably better than La Perla. I enjoyed my two week stay in the hotel and have no problems recommending it to other travelers. Because of the hotel's excellent location, there were a number of other locations to eat within easy walking distance.

“L'emplacement est bien. La propreté laisse à désirer. Le petit-déjeuner est correct. Le personnel n'était pas très aimable dans l'ensemble. Il y a un employé sympa la nuit, mais le matin, une employée nommée Doaa est vraiment désagréable. J'ai demandé une heure de plus pour le check-out, elle a crié et parlé mal, comme si elle ne voulait pas qu'on revienne. Réservez ici seulement si vous ne trouvez rien de mieux.”

“Un endroit idéal pour séjourner, juste à côté de la place principale avec ses restaurants et ses fontaines. Les balcons donnent sur les falaises et la plage. C'est calme la nuit, mais tout est à proximité. Kherdi à la réception était très serviable et sympathique, et parlait un excellent anglais, ce qui est rare. Les suites sont immenses, très modernes, avec des lits plus larges que longs. Ce n'est pas donné, mais ça vaut le coup.”
