“If you wonder why I put 5 stars, it’s because I do not wish to tank this restaurants star review before they even have a chance to be better, please take the following as a constructive criticism that urgently needs to be worked on. - I’ll start with the positive : shop is clean , servers are usually all smiles. - the things that is making me not come back : - when we were served, we were not given any cutlery, the problem is, even after we told the server to bring us cutlery, we had to get up and grab a fork from another table to be able to eat. - the shawarma was dry, so dry that it is genuinely a choking hazard. The sauce was nonexistent , and we had genuine shawarma back in Turkey from Syrian chefs and they always offer a generous amount of Toumia, even the side sauce was so little. The bread is either too thick for that style of shawarma or it’s just undercooked because it was lumpy and hard to swallow. We did finish our food because it was dinner time and too late to look for another option. I genuinely hope things improve in the future , however I will not be coming back , because the cutlery situation actually pissed me off , as we know serving etiquette 101 we prepare the cutlery before we place the food in front off the client , otherwise it’s disrespectful.”

“This spot is an absolute gem that sets the standard for Turkish dining, serving tender, perfectly seasoned charcoal-grilled meats. The staff are warm, remarkably attentive, and make you feel instantly welcome.”

“We were extremely disappointed. I ordered the Adana and my wife ordered the Gigot. These were not advertised as tiny wraps, but what we actually received was basically nothing more than a very small wrap-sized portion for around €10 each. The portions were unbelievably small and nowhere near what we expected as a proper adult meal. There was only a small amount of meat, a lot of sauce and some bread. Even more disappointing: the receipt explicitly lists salad, tomato, onion and pickles for both dishes. None of these ingredients were included in either order. The Adana also did not really taste like Adana, and the food differed significantly from the pictures shown online. The pictures suggest a proper and filling meal, while the actual portions were dramatically smaller. Paying the equivalent of around €20 for two miniature portions like these, with several listed ingredients missing, is completely unreasonable. At the very least, the restaurant should clearly state the portion size or the weight of the meat so customers know what they are paying for. Considering the difference between the pictures, the receipt and what was actually delivered, we felt seriously misled and will not order here again.”

“I eat out a lot all over Morocco, and for me, hygiene is the single most important thing when choosing a restaurant. Damas delivers exactly what it promises. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the outstanding cleanliness the dining area, tables, chairs, open kitchen, even the butcher’s station are spotless. A true 10/10. The food arrived hot, perfectly cooked and full of authentic Levantine flavours. Every dish tasted fresh and carefully prepared. The service was warm, professional and welcoming throughout our visit. If you’re looking for genuine Levantine cuisine in a clean, modern and well-managed restaurant, this is the place. I honestly have nothing negative to say. Top marks in every category. Highly recommended!”
