BISTROT DU LAC

“Bistrot Du Lac has a beautiful setting with excellent views, and the wait staff were attentive and professional. The food was fresh and surprisingly good considering the remote location. Unfortunately, our experience was affected by the behavior of the general manager and a young woman who appeared to be his daughter. Both made comments and behaved in a way that felt unwelcoming, and the manager was also discourteous toward some of the staff during our visit. One thing to note for families: we were informed that the lawn areas, views, and playground are reserved for resort guests and are not available to restaurant patrons. Since the playground was one of the reasons we chose to visit, this was disappointing. Overall, the food and scenery are strong points, but based on our experience, I would not consider it a particularly family-friendly destination.”

Widiane is a super fancy 5 star resort with fantastic luxurious rooms right next to the Bin el Ouidane lake. Though the hotel staff were fantastic, the staff at this restaurant were shockingly bad. Worst service ever, more focussed on which room to charge than take the order, chatting/talking with other waiters while our food is just sitting to be served, mediocre food. Overall a terrible experience. Such a shame that such a fabulous background has such poor restaurant.
