La Prunelle

“With the ubiquity of bakeries in Casablanca, this one does not really stand apart. While stocking a decent selection of baked goods—everythinh you’d expect from a European style bakery—there isn’t anything that differentiates La Prunelle from the next similarly styled shop. I wouldn’t caution against visiting the shop, but I do think there are more interesting bake shops in Casablanca. I would not go out of my way to visit this place unless I lived within a 500 m walk.”

“La Prunelle in Maarif is a nice patisserie with good quality pastries. However, the prices are far too expensive compared to the food you get. While the taste is good, the value for money is not balanced”

“We are very satisfied with their take on traditional cookies, and petits fours. We have never tried their French pastries or bread. We have tried selected items several times, and they have been a contant quality: - traditional cookies (ghriyba behla, nuts ghriyba, m’hencha, jam-filled cookie...) and other ones found in the cookie assortment platters, - amuse gueules (salted feqas), - frozen kefta briwates and what they call chicken-shrimp-vermicelli "nems" (not really nems, rather regular Moroccan version), - chicken-almond pies, and shrimp pies (bestila) - honey-coated almond cigars / briwates - sellou As for service, it's rather good. Same goes for the Bourgogne shop and their current pop-up store in Marjane / California Mall.”
