“Les indications données par On The Beach n'étaient pas terribles, mais un commerçant du coin nous a vraiment sauvés, il a même demandé à un ami de nous accompagner jusqu'à la porte et de vérifier que nous étions au bon endroit, puis il est parti avant qu'on ait pu le remercier comme il faut. Le Riad Marlinea est superbe, un riad tenu par une famille, un peu comme un bed and breakfast anglais des années 60. Ne vous attendez pas à un hôtel de chaîne, ici c'est du vrai voyage, pas du tourisme. C'est leur maison, on nous a traités comme des membres de la famille et on s'est sentis vraiment bien accueillis. Chaque chambre est différente, il y a de l'art partout, et tout le bâtiment est un rêve pour un décorateur d'intérieur. Le petit déjeuner est servi de 9h à 11h, profitez-en !”

“Très bon séjour, le personnel est aimable et serviable. On est arrivés un peu en avance et ils nous ont offert du thé en nous laissant nous installer tranquillement. La décoration est superbe. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais correct. L'endroit est en plein cœur de la médina de Salé.”

“Location is in a sketchy part of the old city. The people working there are friendly, but the person running their airbnb profile is petty and rude. I didn’t stay long enough for a thorough review as I checked in at 10pm and left at 10:30am the next day. The host apparently gave me a passable rating initially but then read that I had mentioned their slow WiFi and then proceeded to chew me out via direct message for various issues he had with my stay (none of which were mentioned in his review of my stay.) This interaction was my ONLY negative experience over five days in Morocco and I loved everything else about the country and people.”

“It was great to stay in a real riad. Cozy atmosphere, and the hosts are really, really nice. They do their best to make guests comfortable. We slept very well for two nights; it is so peaceful and quiet inside the riad. The beds were actually the best we had during one week in Morocco, softer than the average beds we had in other cities. The riad can be a little difficult to find if you do not have roaming on your phone for Google Maps, but if you have the phone number available, the taxi driver or locals will call the riad to get directions. We used the tram to get to Rabat medina, as this riad is in Sale medina, which it can be a little too far from the city center for walking. The tram was very easy to use; just pay 6 DH at a manned booth, or in the ticket machine.”

“I arrived to the area of this place at midnight with the help of the taxi driver walking after we reached the place, because he couldn't reach the place by car, because the streets were old narrow streets. The area was in the old city of Rabat, and I didn't interest in it in the beginning, and I was thinking of telling the driver to take me to a hotel in downtown, but when I reached Riad Marlinea I directly changed my mind and loved the very beautiful old place. The staff were so kind and helpful, they gave me a room number (Laila, each room number has a lady name not number) on the top roof, it was so clean and amazing view from outside the room. Simple and delicious breakfast in very beautiful dining area, the staff took care of me all the time during the breakfast. The place was many centuries old, and it was amazing to feel as if I am living in that period of time. If I will travel to Rebat again, I will go to stay at this place only and enjoy it again for longer days.
