“The food was amazing and authentic. Our lack of French and Arabic was diminished by our waiter, Amine, who spoke English with us. He was very knowledgeable and made our visit a happy one. The chefs' lunch time special of egg soup, bimbap, kimchi, rice, chicken and a drink was delicious and only cost 120MAD. The ambiance and design of the restaurant made dining there fun and memorable. I loved the back wall which was filled with Korean treasures. The restaurant is definitely popular with the locals who we dined alongside. I can't wait to come back for another visit.”
“Overall, the experience was average. The flavors were fine, but the protein portions were extremely small, almost as if they were just sprinkled in. The kimbap was served very cold, which suggested it wasn’t freshly rolled and had likely been sitting in the fridge for some time. Based on the protein portions in everything I ordered, I would not recommend this place.
“I rarely leave negative reviews, but after tonight’s experience, I feel compelled to warn others. My family and I have been loyal customers of MIK for a long time. We’ve recommended this restaurant to friends, family, and anyone looking for Korean food. Unfortunately, the quality of service has declined dramatically. In fact, tonight was not the first disappointing experience. During our previous visit, we were served sushi of noticeably poor quality. When we politely asked whether it could be replaced, the waiter took the plate to the kitchen and came back about five minutes later only to tell us that the chef refused because “they are all the same.” THAT RESPONSE ALONE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RED FLAG. At the time, I chose not to leave a negative review. Mistakes happen in every restaurant, and I believed it was simply an isolated incident that could happen anywhere. Unfortunately, tonight proved otherwise. We called to place a takeaway order. The phone call was chaotic and extremely noisy. The waiter who took our order was rude, impatient, and honestly seemed annoyed that we were even calling. It felt like he didn’t want to take the order at all. WHAT SHOCKED ME EVEN MORE WAS BEING TOLD THAT A LARGE ORDER WOULD BE READY IN JUST 7 MINUTES. As someone who lived in Seoul for several years, I know Korean cuisine and I know that quality food takes time to prepare. Hearing such a short preparation time immediately raised concerns about freshness. We arrived about 10 minutes later to collect the order. Suddenly, we were told it wasn’t ready and would take another 5 minutes. Fine, delays happen. BUT THEN CAME THE MOST UNACCEPTABLE PART OF THE EVENING. A waiter who is also responsible for taking takeaway orders informed us, in a very rude and unapologetic manner, that our order had not been prepared because WE WERE “LATE.” LET THAT SINK IN. We were supposedly late for an order that had first been promised in 7 minutes, then wasn’t even ready after 10 minutes, and then required even more waiting. NO APOLOGY. NO EXPLANATION. JUST ATTITUDE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Poor communication, rude staff, contradictory information, and complete disregard for customer service. What was once a restaurant we enthusiastically recommended has become a place we will avoid. The food may still be decent, but the service has become a disaster. A restaurant is not only about food; it is also about respect, organization, and professionalism. Sadly, MIK no longer reflects those values. Avoid if you expect professional service and basic respect as a customer. 사장님, 이건 서비스 문제가 아니라 가게의 명예 문제입니다. 한국에서 이런 식으로 손님을 대했다면 절대 용납되지 않았을 것입니다. 정말 부끄러운 일입니다.”
“The atmosphere here is wonderful The placs ideal for the kdrama and kpop fans The food was perfect And good quality service the staff are lovely”
“I overall had a good experience. I ordered the fried chicken with both the garlic sauce and the hot sauce both were flavorful and satisfying. I also had the gimbap, which was fresh and well-made, but the fried dumplings were toooooo oily. The staff were helpful and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The portions were decent not too small, but not particularly generous either. Prices felt a bit on the higher side, especially considering the portion sizes, so it might come off as slightly overpriced. That said, the decor is definitely a highlight. The space is beautifully designed and adds a lot to the overall dining atmosphere. A good spot for a cozy meal if you’re in the mood for Korean cuisine.”
“On the surface the menu and the restaurant looked very promising. We ordered a wide variety of food and I hate to say that I was very disappointed in the food. To call the food Korean food is very misleading because it did not taste like Korean food at all. The seasonings for the meat and the types of noodles and sauces they used were not anything you can consider Korean food. The fried chicken an seafood pancake were decent but that was honestly about it. The atmosphere and ambiance inside is nice.”
