“Absolutely delicious lunch. Where to start? Immaculate and beautifully decorated with a relaxed atmosphere and very comfortable seating this is a medium sized restaurant with inside seating only. I started with the Fassi Harira soup (w/ lamb) and it was delicious. I loved the delivery of the soup as the waiter wheels a cart to your table and fills the bowl from a soup tureen. Light, flavorful and had a little spice it was a great way to begin. The the lamb w/ dried fruits & almonds tagine arrived and oh, my. The aroma alone was enough to make me drool. The lamb was tender and fell off the bone with the touch of my fork. The fruits/nuts were the perfect flavor balance and texture with the lamb. The veggie couscous came with 2 sauces: savory and spicy. Everything about this meal was beyond delicious. The waiter was soft spoken, warm and inviting. The entire service was relaxed and welcoming. I highly recommend treating yourself to a fabulous meal here.”
“Captivating decor and warm ambience The seating was chic and comfortable to sit on. We were greeted by a very friendly host and rose scented aroma throughout the restaurant. This place is pricey so prepare to spend. We ordered seafood dishes as well as tangines. Although the presentation was lovely, the flavors were lacking. They should also inform guests if they are ordering a whole fish so they are prepared to pick out bones. The fish, beef and lamb all came out beautifully but we were expecting the Moroccan flavors in the meat not just the gravy or outside. The meals were still tasty but didn't meet the hype for the restaurant. Their Jawhara was incredible however and the best we've had during our trip. Their servers were friendly and accommodating and we had a great experience over”
“We were a party of 9 and showed up without a reservation. The restaurant accommodated us without any issues. The staff were wonderful and friendly. And the food was excellent. We ordered a range of different dishes and shared it on the table, instead of getting one meal each. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside as well. Loved the food and the ambience.”
“Wow — just wow! The food, the service, the interior — everything was absolutely fantastic. This is easily one of the best places we’ve visited in all of Casablanca. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm atmosphere and stylish decor, which perfectly balanced elegance with authentic Moroccan charm. We originally came to see the belly dancer, but unfortunately arrived just a bit too late — she performs between 9:30 and 10:00 PM, so make sure to be on time if that’s part of your plan! Still, even without the performance, the experience was unforgettable. The food was delicious — rich in flavor and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable as well: professional, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. You can really tell that the staff care about creating a memorable experience for their guests. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Casablanca. Whether you're there for the show, the food, or just a night out with a great atmosphere — it’s well worth a visit! Love from Norway 🇳🇴”
“Le Basmane is the right place for authentic Moroccan cuisine. The food is high quality and absolutely delicious, with excellent attention to detail. The service was on point throughout the evening, and the live belly dancing show starting at 9:30 adds a special and enjoyable touch to the experience. Highly recommended.”
“Good food and very large portions. The Moroccan Salad had seven plates! Some better than others. Pastilla was excellent. It was a good place to have dinner on the last night of a two-week stay in Morocco. Prices were reasonable.”
