Le petit Jardin

“Le petit Jardin is a family home, which hosts the guests down stairs. It is out of the way, and the approach feels a little poverty stricken, but it sits in a peaceful location. It was the most expensive accommodation on the whole of my solo bikepacking adventures around the Atlas Mountains. The owner seemed the think his price was reasonable. I managed to haggle 50dh off the 600dh price tag. You also get charged tourist tax here too, B&B plus dinner. The place and bedroom was nicely decorated and felt well looked after and clean. The on-suit was tiny, one socket in the room, in the wrong place. No shower gel, just a tiny soap. Food was ok, nothing special, I had vegetable tajine, which lacked flavour/spice and breakfast was very mediocre. It’s a pleasant place to stay if you’re happy to pay above market rate, given its location.”

“Absolutely beautiful place set quietly out of town in the peace of the hillside. Very well kept and equipped. The rooms were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent and served on a beautiful terrace. The only slight issue I had was that it was awkward getting our motorcycles through the narrow steel door into the grounds”

“We stayed for two nights, as we much prefer being out of towns than in busy noisy accommodation. The owners could not do enough to help us during our stay. Breakfast is huge and tasty, like restaurant service on the lower terrace. Our double room with ensuite was clean and comfortable, with a large window looking out to the garden. You have to call when you arrive, or ring the bell so they can open the gate. Parking is a bit tight, but if there's no room, its completely safe on the road.”

“We arrived late evening without a booking but it was not a problem. The host was very friendly. We had a comfortable stay in one of the beautiful rooms. The following morning we were treated with the Moroccan style breakfast in the common area. The terraces and garden offer various spots to enjoy our time. Too bad we only could spend a night there. Overall we are so glad this added to our excellent trip in Morocco. Thank you Le Petit Jardin!”

“Nice place to stay, however the reason for the two stars is because the owner tried to charge us more for the stay than advertised and although the listings in the websites clearly show that breakfast is included in the cost he wanted to charge extra. Responding to your reply to my comments. Firstly, my wife was not told breakfast was not included, all the advertisements listed by you show that breakfast is included in the price. Secondly, we cooked on the terrace and not in the room using a camping stove, not as you suggest, having decided on principle that we would not pay extra for breakfast that should of be included in the cost. When I spoke with you on the phone, you were more concerned with running your business from Marrakech that trying to resolve the issue. Shame on you for being disingenuous about the facts.”
