“I strongly do not recommend staying at Kasbah Hotel Chergui. The hotel itself looks nice and the restaurant is good, but unfortunately that’s where the positive aspects end. The spa and massage experience was borderline a scam: overpriced, poorly managed, and far below any acceptable standard. Definitely not worth the money and very disappointing. The most serious issue, however, was that a large amount of money (€500+) were stolen from my backpack during my stay. What shocked me even more than the theft itself was the hotel’s reaction: the staff did absolutely nothing to help, offered no real assistance, and instead of taking the matter seriously, they questioned and doubted my story, making me feel uncomfortable and unsupported. After this happened, I read other reviews and discovered that a very similar theft had already been reported by another guest in the past. This makes the situation even more concerning and suggests a recurring problem rather than an isolated incident. No investigation, no accountability, no empathy — nothing. For a hotel that presents itself as a quality and welcoming place, this behavior is unacceptable. When you travel, especially far from home, feeling safe and supported is essential. At this hotel, I felt neither. For this reason, despite the nice appearance and decent food, I strongly advise against staying here. There are surely better and safer options in the area.”
“Absolutely stunning oasis in the desert! I felt like a Disney princess in my kasbah castle! The pool is gorgeous and the breakfast and dinner buffet spreads make you feel like royalty. Shoutout to Foulay Mohamed and the restaurant servers, who were so on top of all the needs of the 42 people in my tour group during the breakfast and dinner services. Mohamed taught me some phrases in the local dialect too which was a highlight! I loved being able to experience living in a traditional clay kasbah with the beautiful exposed clay brick walls. Super clean rooms and beds. The hotel feels like a paradise haven. A must see attraction in itself!”
“La Casbah Cherhui, is without exaggeration, one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The architecture is a masterpiece. Every arch, wall, and corridor feels handcrafted with care. Every piece of furniture is original, and together they create an atmosphere that feels like living inside a work of art. The colors are rich and warm, perfectly balanced between elegance and authenticity. Anyone with even a hint of artistic appreciation will be captivated. It’s not commercial or pretentious. It’s soulful, creative, and truly Moroccan. The vibe is calm and quiet, making it the perfect place to unwind after the chaos of Morocco’s busy cities. It’s ideal for couples who want to reconnect and enjoy each other’s company in peace. And the food...absolutely outstanding. The meals I had here were easily the most delicious in all of Morocco, and I visited several cities. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. I genuinely hope to return to La Casbah Chebbi for an extended stay in the future. It’s a gem in the desert... beautiful, tranquil, and unforgettable. Steph Ottawa, Canada”
“Beautiful hotel, excellent service and helpful staff. I highly recommend this hotel 👌”
“Beautiful hotel at the edge of the Sahara desert. Rooms are large and beautifully decorated as was the rest of the hotel. There's a huge internal courtyard and pool. The dinner buffet was plentiful. There are also two large sitting areas on either side of a wall sticked bar.”
“Great hotel decorated in traditional style in the gateway town to the desert. Nicely laid out and decorated courtyard and pool area. The rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean, I wish that the hotel provides a kettle and coffee in the room, lighting is adequate the beds are firm and pillows are just as firm. We're on the 1st floor and there's no elevator, we carry out own luggage up 1 flight of stairs. You can get help from the staff with luggage if needed. On site restaurant served a delicious international buffet meal. The staffs are very friendly. I gave the hotel a 5-star rating in respect to other hotels in Morocco, not a 5-star compared to hotels in the US.”
