“Pumpkin has quickly become one of my favorite breakfast spots in Essaouira. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly matches the spirit of the medina. I ordered the avocado shrimp toast, a pain au chocolat, and a coffee, and everything was excellent. The avocado toast was fresh, beautifully presented, and generously topped with flavorful shrimp, fresh herbs, and perfectly balanced seasoning. Every bite tasted fresh and high quality. The pain au chocolat was buttery, flaky, and baked just right, while the coffee was smooth and paired perfectly with the meal. One of the biggest highlights is the location. Sitting by the open window overlooking the lively streets of the medina creates such a unique experience. Watching locals and travelers pass by while enjoying a great breakfast makes this place feel truly special. It’s one of those cafés where you can easily spend an hour or two just soaking in the atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming throughout my visit. Service was fast without ever feeling rushed, and they made me feel genuinely appreciated as a customer. If you’re visiting Essaouira and looking for a quality breakfast, specialty coffee, or simply a beautiful place to relax and watch the medina come alive, Pumpkin is absolutely worth visiting. Great food, excellent coffee, friendly service, and one of the best café views in the city. I will definitely be coming back on my next trip to Essaouira.”
“I was walking through the old streets of Medina in Essaouira when I accidentally found this beautiful pink-themed café; and honestly, I’m so glad I did. At first I was hesitant because I had never been there before, but now I feel like I was seriously missing out. The whole place is incredibly aesthetic and well-branded; definitely my vibe. The staff were professional, welcoming, and the service was genuinely great from the moment I walked in. The food was delicious and perfect for breakfast. You can tell they use fresh ingredients because the food takes a little time in the morning, especially the fresh bread, but my coffee arrived quickly and everything was absolutely worth the wait. I also really appreciated that when I couldn’t finish my meal, they kindly offered me a takeout box immediately. Small details like that make a difference. And the cutest part? There was an adorable cat just casually hanging around, which somehow made the whole experience even better. Whether you want a cozy breakfast, a good coffee, or just a peaceful place to enjoy your time, I’d definitely recommend this spot.”
“Happy Seafood Corner not open til dinner as found this AMAZING & HEALTHY spot. Serve breakfast with fantastic menu. So had vegetarian empanada and spinach & cheese roll heated….EXCELLENT and couldn’t say preferred one over the other😋😋😋😋Also had big oatmeal & chocolate cookie. Hungry and forgot to take pic of empanada, too and Americano. Sooooo many items I could try here. Definitely, the iced mocha(looked layered) and there is oat & almond alternatives👏🏻 Hard to find many places in Morocco with option.”
“They have the BEST velvet cake ever. I’ve tasted lots of velvet cakes before but theirs was the most delicious and cute looking. Might revisit Essaouira just to take another bite. My mom also liked their cinnamon rolls and lattes when she’s a picky eater”
“Nice little coffee spot with a good atmosphere—great for sitting and people-watching. You order at the bar and get a buzzer to collect your drinks and food, which works well. The coffee was good—we had an oat milk latte and an oat milk flat white, both well made. The energy balls (with dates and sesame) were really nice. I also tried the banana sourdough cake, which was a bit on the dry side. Overall, a solid spot for coffee and a quick snack.”
“I had a nice time at Pumpkin. The place has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The coffee was good, and the pastries were fresh and tasty. A lovely spot to relax and enjoy a quiet break in Essaouira.”
