“What a beautiful Riad nestled in the heart of the Medina in Essaouira! We were welcomed in by friendly staff and greeted with coffee whilst we checked in. The Riad has a very welcoming feel and is surprisingly quiet when you know there is a lot hustle and bustle in the medina streets outside. Our room was lovely, with a tranquil feel, bathroom was amazing and bed very comfortable. Very clean and great value for money. What can we say about Youssef..... what a lovely manager! When my partner and I returned from dinner, I was greeted with the most amazing bunch of roses and a lovely note to celebrate my birthday. These kind gestures go along way and make you feel very special. Breakfast was equally fantastic, with different breads and pastries, eggs, fruit and yoghurt, accompanied with delicious fresh orange juice and your choice of coffee or tea. There was no rush to go to breakfast either as breakfast served until late morning which is a win when you want that extra lie in. Overall, my partner and I had a wonderful experience at the Riad Dar Maya and would definately recommend to anyone looking to visit Essaouira.”

“The hotel is located in the medina, which was perfect for exploring the area. Despite the central location, it was very quiet at night. Our room was clean and breakfast was included and enjoyable. Since the hotel is located in the medina, there is about a 10-minute walk from the parking area.”
