“Perhaps one of the most beautiful riad in Fes and perhaps the most calculating owner/ manager in Morocco. The house is beautiful with beautiful tile work and woodcarving. It has a nice garden with tables and a swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and decently furnished though the bathroom needs maintenance with leaking shower pipe. The highlight was the owner/ manager who likes to charge money for every small service which is actually the standard in Morroco. All riads in morocco offer complimentary mint tea and coffee. This riad charges euro 3. All riad offer fresh orange juice in their breakfast. Dar Ziryab mixes fresh and bottled orange juice. All riad offer complementary water - at least two bottles at entry or even per day. Dar Ziryab does not offer water. Only sells it. Nice service staff but doesn’t speak English. The owner/ manager likes to take advantage of mistakes made by guests. We paid full charges for four guests. Euro 346 + Euro 26 for two nights. But we mentioned two guests in our booking by mistake. Mr. Hadj told us that he was nice to us since he didn’t charge more for four people (we had already paid for four). The location is good though confusing. Google maps takes you 200 metres away. Good eating places close by.”

“Riad dar Ziryab was a nice central hotel ti stay. The Staff were very nice. The owner also. |As i know that Fes's Kitchen is very tasty, i was expecting a lot from Fes. One time dinner in the Riad was ok. Breakfast they must find another concept.|It was a normal Buffet which wasnt all the time full. So when you want tp eat breakfast better wake up early.|Anyway it was a good experience.”

“Good location and very pretty for photos, but the sofas smell like cat urine, and breakfast is served on a low table where the cats in the house lick and touch the food. The owners only shoo the cats away but do not replace the food. There are many cats around the property.”
