“This is a beautiful Riad in an older part of Fes. The entrance and common area are stunning. Friendly people always willing to help. They even cook dinner for you if you ask. Our room needed a bit of love but otherwise a great stay”
“In general the Riad was pretty much as advertised. Rooms were clean and large. There was a small cooktop and refrigerator, with a few kitchen utensils and a kettle for boiling water for tea or coffee, (neither were provided in the room). Wifi was spotty and often did not work in the room I was in. It was quiet at night, so no problems there. It is a beautiful building, but seemed to be catering mostly to large group tours. I don't think I would have booked this if I had not been traveling with a tour.”
“A peaceful spot just of a very busy market street. All rooms open onto the icovered inner court where breakfast is taken. Rooms are well appointed within but tend not to have a view. This Riad exudes an opulence from a past age. There is a spa and roof terrace but these seem to be closed at the time of the visit.”
“Beautiful riad, lovely rooms. Bathroom a bit tired but still ok. Good location close to the Mellach and royal palace gates. Interesting synagogue close by.”
“Fantastic location. An absolute oasis. Very nice internal courtyard with lots of comfortable seating and welcoming staff. Rooms themselves are small and quite dated. Beds very firm but comfortable. Bed linen getting a bit thin. Lighting dull but adequate. Didn’t try the TV. Shower tiny. Smallest I’ve had so far in Africa. Caulking all coming away and generally looking very tired in the bathroom. Shower rose flicker not working so no adjustment possible for different flow options. Water took more than 4 minutes to get warm. Bathroom basin blocked. No drinking water provided. Breakfast basic but fresh. Overall quite nice but I think the 5 star ratings are misleading.”
“We stopped here for two days as part of a tour on on the go tours. Overall - I would not come back here. Feedback below-hope this helps other travelers : 1. Don’t give them your laundry to do. They charge for the piece of clothing, not pound- although that was not mentioned before hand. We paid 918 DH (91 USD) for a bag of socks, underwear, two towels, and linen pants/plain T-shirts. Nothing was ironed or pressed either, so it came back wrinkled. 2. Location was ok. You are in the middle of a souk. But there’s no real food walking distance. So you do better ordering like others do or going to Carrefour. 3. My mom had the massage- said it was fantastic. 4. The rooms were dirty. The sheets were dirty, the floors dirty and grimy. There is no housekeeping everyday. 5. Breakfast was okay. Buffet but not hot, just plates of food out for the taking. 6. The interior design is beautiful.”
