“This was our first hammam so we were unsure beforehand what to expect, especially doing it as a couple, but it was such a relaxing experience. The staff gave us guidance step by step and were professional and kind. One person helped each of us. The riad is also beautiful for tea afterwards (photos)”
“I went here for a couples Hammam and it was just what I had hoped for. This is a luxury version of a Hammam compared to the traditional Hammams but this is what I was looking for as a gift to my partner. We got the 45 minute Hammam and later a 45 minute massage. The place was very beautiful and clean. The staff were very professional and they gave wonderful Hammam scrubs and massages. They were friendly and attentive to our needs as we explained my partners back problems and they accommadated the massage to this. I would recommend this place if you are looking for something high end as it’s not cheap but was worth it.”
“I loved getting a taste of what a traditional hammam feels like in a private setting. It was my first time and even though it's thorough and not the most comfortable experience for everyone, I really enjoyed it. The massage was just ok, not the best, but the staff were super nice and very warm and attentive throughout. The hotel is beautiful and we really appreciated the tea on the rooftop afterwards. At reception I asked for argan oil recommendations and since they were out of travel sizes, they gifted me a small jar as a souvenir, which was a sweet touch.”
“Our first hammam and would highly recommend! Zinem and Lubina were excellent and very considerate, we felt the most refreshed and relaxed we had after a long week of travel. Laaroussa was a beautiful space as well.”
“Half of the hammam experience for twice the price: Beautiful hammam room and friendly staff that didn't speak a word of English, Italian, or Spanish. Having done several tourist hammams in Morocco, where you are basically hiring an attendant, for the first time with this one, which was double the price of the others, the hammam serviced portion was minimal: one rinse, a soap down on both sides, and then clay scrub on one side of your body only. No 2nd side, no rinse, no shampoo and head scrub, no flower water or argan oil. Instead, after only your front side had clay applied (but not back side), I was instructed to scrub the clay into myself (on only one side), then wait ten minutes and then go into an adjustment room and showered myself off. Extremely odd, less than half of an attendant hammam experience. Resting room after my self-shower had welcome dried fruits and walnuts, which was nice. Massage was light and circulation stimulating. Beautiful building. Afterwards I was invited for tea on the rooftop, which I went to and had a drink while I waited. Tea never arrived, though I waited an hour on the roof. Overpriced and underwhelming.”
“During my visit to Fes, I was eager to try a traditional Moroccan Hammam. However, it wasn’t easy to find a highly-rated spa, as many providers make it unnecessarily difficult for customers to get detailed information about their offerings and prices, and the service often leaves much to be desired. At Laaroussa SPA, everything was perfect: a fairytale-like atmosphere straight out of 1001 Nights, excellent, friendly, helpful, and unobtrusive service, an easy booking process via their website, an extraordinarily warm welcome, and a beautiful Hammam followed by a wonderful massage.🥰 While the prices are slightly higher than some other providers, the quality and service are unbeatable. After the Hammam, I was invited for tea on the rooftop terrace of the Riad, which was a truly beautiful way to end my visit there. The view is breathtaking, and the atmosphere is so peaceful. While I can't afford to stay overnight in this amazing Riad😅🙈, I will definitely treat myself to another Hammam and massage on my next visit to Fes.😊”
