“It was a wild experience going here. Not really knowing what to expect. I purchased the exfoliate and body wrap treatment. You get there and youre exfoliated, wrapped and bathed in the same room as everyone. I was not expecting this! It's a one time experience so try it out of curiosity however dont expect a typical spa experience and atmosphere.”

“Great experience that felt authentic without being too DIY. Very chill atmosphere and accommodating of any questions. Funny guys who fed us lots of tea. As other reviews have mentioned, a decent time is spent laying down waiting for the next stage of hammam. I did not mind, as it was relaxing lying in the humid chamber. All payment was upfront which was nice, about $17USD.”

“This is the best thing that happened to me in Marrakesh!!! An incredibly authentic place. I absolutely recommend it!!! I’ve never been this clean in my life 😂 I came with my 3.5-year-old daughter. She got in for free, and they washed her together with me, which was such a nice bonus!!! All the women were so kind to her and chatted with her while they were washing me. They wash you exactly like a grandmother would in a Russian banya when you were a kid 😅 Everything is provided on site: slippers and a towel. I recommend bringing only the bottom part of a swimsuit or swim briefs. It was warm—not cold, but not too hot either. Definitely go!!! Thank you so much for the lovely atmosphere and cleanliness!”

“I absolutely loved my experience at Hammam Moussaini. After four days in the Atlas Mountains, I was looking for a traditional hammam to relax, and the staff at my riad recommended this place. It turned out to be a wonderful choice. Bouchyia treated me with great kindness, using the traditional glove, black soap, and grey clay. During the treatment, she even sang beautifully, which added a very special touch to the experience—I found it almost hypnotic. The atmosphere of the hammam is intense yet deeply relaxing. I also added a back and neck massage afterward, and everything was perfect. The staff are gentle, attentive, and professional. I highly recommend this hammam for an authentic and rejuvenating experience.”

“If you are looking for a traditional Moroccan hammam this is definitely the one for you. Initially I was a bit nervous for a real traditional experience and took comfort in the idea and familiarity of a western hammam which is more like a spa. This is not a modern spa so leave all expectations at the door and embrace the experience fully and just go with it. I have never done anything like this before and I am so glad that I did. I couldn’t recommend this enough I came out smiling and feeling very fulfilled.The men and women’s hammams are separate but still a really nice experience to do as a couple as you can debrief after and compare. I was brought into the men’s changing room and given a locker with a key where I stored my belongings. I was not prepared, I had no towel or swimming shorts and was provided with a towel at the end. I was told to keep my underwear on and all the men in the hammam were wearing some form of swim wear. Everyone was super friendly and I was brought into a big chamber which was very clean with hardly any mould. This is a very humid environment so a little mould is expected but don’t let that put you off. I was told to lie down on a mat on the floor and was washed with warm water and black soap and let to soak for 20 minutes or so. It was incredibly relaxing and to all the reviews saying “I was left waiting on a mat” just go with it. Relax and close your eyes that’s the whole point of the treatment! I was then washed with water and scrubbed with an exfoliating glove front and back from my neck down to my feet. It was intense I will say but very rewarding. I was lying on the floor arm out to the side for this. I was left to relax again and then scrubbed for a second time with the exfoliating glove and soap and my face was also washed this time. Writing this review the following day my skin has never felt smoother. My hair was also washed and I received a brief massage of my calf’s, shoulders and back, approximately 2 or so minutes. I was then brought into another chamber and left to sit on another mat for about 15 minutes. I had no idea how long I would be waiting here for and I didn’t think about it I just let the experience happen. It was lovely to see the sense of community in the hammam and I felt this was the real deal. I finally changed and was given a cup of tea at the end. 10/10 and I will definitely be indulging again if I am ever back in Morocco. To anyone who is a bit apprehensive just go for it. I am delighted with my experience. Forget everything you know about a western spa and have fun. It’s also a lot cheaper!
