“Very nice”
“The Martil Tower is located on the left bank of the Oued Martil estuary in the city of Martil, in the north of Morocco. This tower was built by the commander Ahmed Ibn Al-Basha Al-Rifi in the year 1719 AD, and it was demolished after violent bombardment by one of the French military ships. Then Sultan Muhammad bin Abdullah, grandson of Mawla Ismail, rebuilt this tower in 1759 AD, which is still standing to this day and testifies to the ancient history of the mouth of Oued Martin. It is noteworthy that this tower played an important role in the history of the naval jihad in the region, thanks to its privileged location on the Mediterranean coast at the mouth of Wadi Martil.”
