“We were in Merzhouga looking for medfouna (Berber pizza) and that’s how we stumbled upon the restaurant Alla. The place isn’t right on the street, so you have to drive a short distance down a sandy/gravel path from the main road. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately and invited inside. The table was set right away, and a Wi-Fi router was connected. We sat in the beautiful courtyard with a view of the evening sky. We ordered a medfouna, which takes about 45 minutes to prepare since it’s made fresh. The “pizza” easily serves two. It comes with a salad as a starter and fruit for dessert. And all of this at a truly fair price. A very nice experience—highly recommended.”
“Amazing cultural experience! The Berber pizza was so much fun. The chef got my wife involved to help make the dishes - it was so much fun. We had to order seconds bc the food was so amazing and delicious! If you are headed to the Sahara desert, you MUST make a stop here to really immerse yourself in this wonderful culinary experience.

“Had the best experience at this beautiful place. We were received with a very warm welcome, truly such kind people. The berber pizza was crunchy and herby and overall delicious. 11/10 recommend!”
“This was an amaazing discovery! The food was great, we had a vegetarian berberpizza and one with meat. It was a delight to eat something else then the standard tagine. Hafid was a great host and very friendly. Highly reccomended!”
“The service was outstanding. We felt like we went over for dinner at a friends place. The berber pizza was also really good. Would highly recommend.”
“Easy to miss but this place is close by the dunes and delivers an authentic experience. The "Pizza" tasted great and Chef Alla showed us how it was made personally. BTW, this is a restaurant, not a hotel. Not sure why Google has it as a hotel.”
