Motel Ain Mersa

“Unfortunately the dirtiest room I have ever seen. We did not have a good experience and decided to leave the motel. When we arrived everything was closed and the (teenage) daughter of the owner welcomed us. She had to open the whole building ( they did not expect us, however we did make a reservation a couple monthes ago via booking.com). The daughter showed us the room wich in first glance looked fine for a cheap motel room. However, the longer we look the more dirt we saw. The pillow sheets had mold on it, the bathroom was not cleaned ( properly) and the airconditioning was more brown than white. We understand that this is a cheap motel with basic facilities. But cleanliness of the room is very important, and in this motel it is not clean. Even for the price it is unacceptable to stay in the room. We left the mot feeling sorry but we felt that we came in a room that was not cleaned at all. We have sent a message to the owner (see picture). I believe if the room is properly cleaned it is a basic stay. Unfortunately we had a bad experience since our room was not clean at all. I would not recommend the room and advise to go somewhere else.”

“We had such a wonderful experience there. The place is beautiful and the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The owner and his daughters welcomed us with great kindness and hospitality, which made us feel truly comfortable from the moment we arrived. The traditional breakfast was delicious. fresh. and full of authentic local flavors. The bread was especially unique and absolutely amazing. Everything was homemade and very fresh They also have a beautiful museum with many fascinating things to discover, and before breakfast we visited their farm, which was an amazing experience as well. We really enjoyed walking around and spending time there. Overall, it was a perfect place to relax, disconnect, and enjoy nature and authentic Moroccan hospitality. Highly recommended.”

“Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience at this guesthouse. We arrived by bicycle and were welcomed in a very friendly way, which made us feel like this was a place we could trust. However, in the end we felt seriously overcharged. We were asked to pay 25 euros for a vegetable tajine, two bananas, two mandarins, two apples, a very small salad and one bottle of water. This price is completely unreasonable. The owner is very friendly in words, but unfortunately not in actions. We genuinely felt taken advantage of. In addition, breakfast was only available from 10:00 in the morning, even though we clearly explained that we wanted to leave early by bike to cross the mountain pass. At first this was not negotiable. In the end it was moved to 9:30, which was still too late. Because of this delay, we were unable to cross the pass and eventually got caught in snowfall. There is a lot of talk about hospitality, but very little true hospitality in practice. We would absolutely not recommend this place.”

“Had a nice stay at this motel , the host were really good person , the room were really clean and kept it hot before we arrive . The dinner and breakfast were really delicious . All over we had a really nice stay and value do money . Will definitely consider this place during our next visit at ifrane .”

“I recently stayed at a lovely motel that exceeded my expectations. The location was ideal, close to everything I needed, making it convenient to explore the area. The service was outstanding; the staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a comfortable stay. The rooms were fully prepared with all the essentials, from toiletries to comfortable bedding, and everything was spotless.
