“We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Morocco. Moha was an incredibly welcoming host who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Morocco and Berber culture, and we had such great conversations with him throughout our stay. He was entertaining, thoughtful, and truly went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our experience special. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Both the breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. Staying here was such a unique and memorable experience, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We highly recommend stopping by if you have the chance!”
“We spent just one night here, and honestly, if our itinerary hadn’t already been set, we would have gladly stayed longer. It’s one of those places that makes you slow down and reconsider your plans. The location is ideal, perfectly positioned on the way to Merzouga, making it an excellent stop if you’re traveling from Marrakech into the desert. Set atop a mountain, the guest house offers breathtaking views that feel almost surreal, especially at sunrise and sunset. The property itself is stunning. Built in traditional mud architecture, it blends beautifully with its surroundings while offering a sense of understated luxury. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, with very comfortable beds and well-appointed bathrooms. Every corner reflects authentic Moroccan charm, creating a warm and immersive atmosphere. The food was another highlight. Both dinner and breakfast were among the best we had during our time in Morocco—fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care, giving you a true taste of home-cooked local cuisine. What truly made the experience special, though, was the host, Mansoob. Warm, welcoming, and full of stories, he embodies genuine hospitality and makes you feel completely at home from the moment you arrive. All in all, this is a place I would wholeheartedly recommend, a hidden gem that leaves a lasting impression.”

“I am now friends for life with this family. I will be back. This was a 10/10 experience. The artistic detail… the wonderful food and extremely friendly service. This experience impacted me so much. I will forever keep this Casbah in my Heart. Thank you so much! I will be back!”
“I loved this Kasbah in southern Morocco, located in Boumalne de Dades. Perched on the side of a hill, it overlooks the Dades river valley and the small town, and its grounds abound with leafy, green herb and vegetable gardens. I especially loved its construction of packed earthen and reed walls. If I am lucky, or blessed, I'll return here someday.”
“An Authentic Moroccan Gem Between Ouarzazate and Merzouga If you’re looking for an authentic stay on your Morocco road trip, Casbah La Jeanne is an absolute gem. Built by hand from clay and stone over five years, this beautiful family-run kasbah perfectly captures the soul of traditional Moroccan architecture. Located on the scenic road from Ouarzazate to the Merzouga desert, it’s the ideal stop for travelers seeking rest, real hospitality, and unforgettable food. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable — a true oasis of calm after a long drive through the Atlas Mountains. What makes this place truly special is the warmth of Mr. Moha and his family. They treat every guest like a friend. The homemade meals — crafted with fresh local ingredients — are among the best we had in Morocco. Each dish is prepared with passion and served with genuine care. Mr. Moha is an incredible host: multilingual, deeply knowledgeable about Moroccan culture and history, and always eager to share stories about his land. We returned here to escape the tourist crowds and found once again peace, flavor, and friendship. If you want to experience the true heart of Morocco, stay at Casbah La Jeanne — you’ll remember it long after the journey ends”
