“Visited this place based on the excellent reviews. Ahmed came to meet us already when walking down the stairs. Due to the Ramadan he could only prepare three options from the menu. We picked the fries with meat option. It took 1.5 hour before the food was served, us being the only guests, but it was utterly delicious! Portions were humongous. We couldn't finish it and I'm a very big eater. He even included Berber pizza, coffee and fresh fruits. Truly amazing. And that for only 75 Dirham per person. Very friendly owner. He only speaks French and a handful of English words. Toilet is a very simple outdoor brick cottage. Only outdoor seating. End of February it was chilly after sunset. Bring a sweater or jacket and be prepared to wait a long time for the food to be ready. It will be super fresh and worth the wait. Cash only, no cards of any kind.”
“The best Vegetarian Tagine I’ve had in Morocco. Ahmed is a very good & a lively host. The food was customised according to our taste.”
“Amazing place with a very friendly and generous owner - Ahmed. Our tour stopped a bit away in another restaurant but the place was a tourist trap with expensive and tasteless food (based on the reviews). We found Ahmed's place nearby and came here. The prices were around half of the previous place. We were in a rush because of the tour but he managed to bring the chicken skewers quickly. Then we wanted to leave before the fries were ready but he insisted us to stay a bit more as he wanted to prepare a takeaway package for us. He even gave his own food container for our takeaway along with 2 oranges for the way. And the fries were really crispy and didn't smell greasy. He seemed like a very generous and friendly person, so definitely recommend this place!”
“This place is a hidden gem in the Todra Gorge, offering a perfect blend of nature and comfort. The atmosphere is deeply relaxing, with a peaceful garden that invites you to unwind and soak in the raw beauty of the surroundings. The cuisine is a standout, focusing on natural, fresh ingredients. The meals feel wholesome and authentic, capturing the true essence of home-cooked Berber food. It’s a refreshing culinary experience that perfectly complements the natural setting. What truly makes this place special, however, is Ahmed. He is an exceptional host whose genuine hospitality and warmth make you feel more like a family member than a guest. His attentive care ensures that every moment of your stay is memorable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with heart and soul. Shukran Ahmed!!!”
“What a find! Friendly service from Ahmed, everything freshly cooked and prepared to order. So much food , so tasty and such good value, way more than we expected. Lovely to sit and watch the birds and feed the fish in the pond. Don’t be put off by the walk through to the restaurant, follow the white arrows and you come to a little oasis.”
“A very nice place but we were unlucky that it was raining and cold so we couldn't sit outside. We watched Ahmed cook and ate in his kitchen which felt like home. His food were freshly made, very nice home cooked food indeed! All the food were delicious unlike those we had in other restaurants. We were so full!”
