“I spent 10 days with a friend at Happy Surf Camp. We both would recommend 10/10 times! The village of Tamraght is small but beautiful. There are many shops and restaurants. Nearby there are bigger cities that we enjoyed exploring a lot. Especially the skatepark in Thagazout. The food and personal was outstanding! Their work ethic and behaviour towards us was so amazing and really felt like family! A normal surf day started at 10. We then drove to a few spots, checked the waves and decide where to go. From 8 days of surfing we had 5 and a half day of good waves for intermediates. After a quick warm up we'd be in the water around 11 and surf like 2 hours. The surf coaches were there all the time explaining before going in the water and in between waves. Then we had a break around 1 hour with food and water provided by the surf coaches. Afterwards we had another free surf session. But often times the instructors were with us in the water too. Around 4-6 pm we arrived back home. Average driving time was from 10 minutes to 1 hour. We also went sand boarding and did surf skating one day in the morning, when the waves were to small. The surf coaches were really great! The warm-ups were short but intense and always something new and funny. The showed technique was really helpful and we had some really good 1 on 1 talks about the last wave we got and so on. Altough it was important to ask them for advice if you want to improve. Otherwise they would also let you do your thing a lot. Pro tip: Most breaks are sand, but there are some reef breaks too. Next time I would get some surf shoes beforehand. The people in the hostel were averaging around 20-35 years old. The athmosphere was really chill. We went to the beach together for some spikeball or volleyball and made a bonfire at night. The price we paid for accomodation, food, surf lessons, airport shuttle and transportation was an absolute catch. We'd come again!”
