“An absolute 10/10 experience! Socco Hostel is hands down one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. The vibe here is incredible, making it so easy to connect with people from all over the world. The staff goes above and beyond—they are incredibly welcoming. The rooftop is a massive highlight, offering amazing views and the perfect spot to unwind. Clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location. This was not my first time staying at Socco Hostel, and it definitely won’t be my last.”

“This is one of the nicest hostels I’ve ever stayed. I was here for 2 days in the 4 bed female dorm. The rooms have AC, beds with curtains (somehow rare to find in Morocco!), a well equipped kitchen and fridge for you to use, a big locker and ensuite bathroom that is all new and daily cleaned. Despite being next to the sea, it didnt feel damp or humid in the room. There are two highlights here: First one is definitely the rooftop! It was amazing to watch sunset and moonrise here! It is also a nice space to hangout and have free tea they serve in the afternoon! They also have another common area downstairs and in the hallway. So many places to chill here. Secondly, staff are really friendly and attentive. Soufiane, Fatima and other woman working at the rooftop(sorry that i didnt get her name) are all kind, give you great tips, ensure that you are enjoying your stay and always welcoming! The wifi was really good and they even have a coworking space available in the rooftop! The only issue here might be that it is hard to find in the first arrival but the location is also quiet yet central!”

“10/10 experience. I would stay here again in a heart beat. I have stayed at hostels throughout the UK and Europe and this was hands down the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. I was there 5 days 4 nights. The bed was comfier than the one in my own apartment. Finally a hostel that gives you a large bath towel and not a small rag to use!! And the staff!! THE BEST STAFF EVER!! So kind, so helpful. They make you feel like you’re at home truly. I especially loved the rooftop, full kitchen open 24/7!!! & the airport taxi arrangement! Was a huge weight off my shoulders knowing that was covered & I could enjoy my trip knowing a car and driver would be waiting for me at the end of it!”

“Definitely the best hostel I stayed at during my trip to Morocco. As a backpacker who’s stayed in over 100 hostels around the world, I can confidently say this one ranks among the best. The beds were comfortable, and the bunks felt especially cozy thanks to the wood paneling and the warm glow from the personal reading lights. It was a small detail, but it made the space feel incredibly inviting and relaxing. The facilities were consistently clean, and the rooftop view was unbeatable. They also served free mint tea throughout the day, which was a great touch. The atmosphere was very social, with guests ranging from young travelers to older backpackers, making it easy to meet people and strike up conversations. I wish more hostels would take cues from this place because they truly did almost everything right (aside from not providing free towels, though I can understand that choice). If I return to Tangier, this will absolutely be the place I stay again.”

From the moment I arrived, everyone at the reception, in the kitchen, and in housekeeping was friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. “A true home away from home – Incredible experience! ​I spent a week at Socco Hostel and I couldn't be happier. From the moment I arrived, it felt like a home away from home. A huge thank you to the entire team— Vivi(Ouioui), Fatima, Soufiane, and Osman. It was also a great pleasure to meet the owner and his wonderful family; they are such warm-hearted people! ​A special mention goes to Vivi (Ouioui): the breakfast was excellent, and watching her prepare her signature omelets with so much care and passion was the perfect start to every day. ​The social atmosphere is what makes this place truly unique. Every evening, Soufiane hosted a traditional tea round, which was the heart of the hostel. It made it so easy to connect with other guests, share stories, and head out together to explore the city or enjoy dinner.
