“This is an outstanding hotel and a fresh change from old riads. It has many fine qualities that make this such a pleasant stay. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The staff is attentive and genuinely committed to serving their guests. The only minor issue that the location requires taxis to/from the medina. Still, you can walk to the beach. (Drive app (like Uber) is better than taxis.) So, the location is a minor consideration, Hôtel Occidental Tanger is beautifully appointed.”

“We had an amazing stay at this hotel and felt completely comfortable from the very first moment. The entire reception team is incredibly, incredibly kind and helpful. No matter what the issue or request was, they always took their time to help us and never once seemed annoyed or stressed. Their hospitality truly made a huge difference during our stay. A very special thank you goes to Madiha. She is exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. We had some problems during our stay, and she went above and beyond to help us , she even made phone calls for us to solve the situation. Employees like her are rare, and she definitely deserves a salary raise for her outstanding service and dedication. The hotel also has a beautiful outdoor seating area with music, a bar, and direct access to the pool, which creates such a relaxing atmosphere. The pool itself is fantastic, with built-in seating and lounging areas inside the water, which we absolutely loved. The lobby is also very cozy and beautifully designed, making the whole hotel feel warm and welcoming. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!”

“stay was nice. We spent a couple of days in the hotel. Staff is nice and speaks english. I was easy to find drivers to go to the city center with InDrive. Food at the restaurant is wonderful and portions for tapas are really big. Cocktails are a bit expensive, but that's understandable.”

The hotel is very clean and the room is quite comfortable.The pillow and bed are average but the sofa and desk are useful/likewise the fridgeThe internet is average - it is slow during busy periods which is unacceptable in 2026Staff are moderately helpful but don't always fix issuesThe location isn't great but is easy to access downtown with public transport (no 20 bus)”

“Besides being located in a beautiful city, this hotel was a good choice. It had a good breakfast menu. It was quiet, I had a nice view of the pool from my window. It is a large hotel, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. You can really walk to nearby activities like I did going to RR Ice restaurant. Very good hotel, nice staff, no complaints”
