“Just returned from our second stay at this wonderful hotel. We travelled as a family of 6 adults for a birthday celebration and have had a great time. The staff are very attentive, nothing is too much trouble. The food was excellent and rooms were spotless. Special mention to Monaime for making our stay so special. We’ll be back.”
“We have been staying at this wonderful oasis of calm and tranquility since 2015. This year was our 10th visit. |The gardens in March are superb and beautifully maintained, so many of the staff have been there since our first visit|so it is truly a second home for us. Breakfast on the sunny terrace is an occasion, best scrambled egg and crispy bacon you could ask for ,which sets me up for my walk to town (3 km ) and around the souk, always interesting and fun. I sometimes take a horse drawn ‘caliche ‘ to get an equine fix’ ,back to the hotel to rejoin my wife for a snack lunch by the pool . At 4.pm Mamoud appears with mint tea and biscuits and at 7pm to the bar for apéros with the hotels famous home made crisps or chips as the French refer to them.Dinner at our usual table by the log fire in the dining room and the select menu is excellent with local Maroc specialities and many French dishes and also we enjoyed some excellent fish this year.”
“This was the best place we stayed in 3 weeks of traveling through Morocco, fabulous food, gardens, staff, beautiful furnished, individual cottage in the gardens, jacuzzi, pool and beauty salon, treatments etc,BLISS,am planning a long weekend in June with my girlfriends it's worth a visit, by taxi to local town of Taroudant (great markets)walled town. 👨👩👦👦”
“Taroudant is not really a tourist town, but it does have one thing going for it - the Dar Zitoune resort, which is outstanding. After days of staying in small rooms in the riads of Fes and other Moroccan medinas, it was a real pleasure to get to this place with it's large rooms, exquisite grounds and adaptive menu.|From the moment you cross the threshold you feel you are in a different world compared to the heat and dust of the outside world. |Whether you stay in the Berber Village with its imitation Berber tents or in a traditional room as we did, this is so much better than the cramped confines of most riads.||We especially enjoyed the dinner menu that changes daily and offers three entrees, non of which is traditional. The fact that you can get good Moroccan wines or even a real cocktail is a plus not found in many places.||If you just want a break from the limited menus, alcohol free and frankly boring meals of many traditional Moroccan venues, this is a good place to start.|Relaxing by one of the pools or just rambling through the greenery is another reason to forsake the riads for this place.||While I did love staying inside the medinas in a traditional riad, sometimes you need something different and Dar Zitoune is it.”
“Lovely tranquil hotel outside the Medina. We had 2 nights in the Berber village "tents" which were very spacious and comfortable. The food was good but a bit inconsistent. Pool and gardens were lovely. Our favourite hotel in our trip to Morocco. Highly recommended”
“Another wonderful week in Dar Zitoune escaping dreadful English weather for hot sunshine, wonderful pampering, food and excellent mojitos!”
