Marjane Market

“My family and I just relocated from the United States to Morocco a few days ago and tonight was our first experience shopping at this store. As a result, we were asked to NOT use our reusable grocery bags as well as to keep our personal items that were purchased earlier from another store at the customer service desk, strangely by the store’s security guard. As we shopped through, for basic household items (I.e., Tide, Dish cleaning soap, etc.), we were followed by two different security personnel throughout the store while we were in shopping for 20 minutes or so. When I returned to customer service desk, I questioned the English speaking attendant as to why we were being followed throughout the store, she stated, that security follows people like me. I took that as a very clear message that Americans are NOT welcome within Marjane stores! Let’s just be clear… I will NOT EVER step foot into an Marjane again..”

“Marjane Market is a hypermarket in center of Temara near to Afriqia Gases Station and with McDonalds restaurant in the parking. The Market is easy to reach by car or with public transportation, line 7,18,19, 24, 29 . You can find different products good quality, fresh vegies and very friendly and helpful staff”

“Small market, has a lot and different products you may need (meat, vegetables, fruits, sweets, bakeries...)”

“This Market is very nice and clean in Temara. The only thing that comes as a big minus, when I visited there, I saw the prices of the products, which were almost the same like as in Finland, and I wonder which normal person in Morocco has money to buy anything in that place. Because the normal family wage is so much lower than in Finland. That's why just 4 stars.”
