“This place needs to be monitored by hospitality regulators. I booked in good faith knowing that it is going to be a rustic stay in nature but unfortunately I was so disappointed. The off road track was dangerous and not fit for a small car. The chalet was dirty. The kitchen where food was cooked was also dirty. the stuff looked threatening and very impolite. I never felt so uncomfortable in a place in my life. I could not stay and left after I realised that it was a bad idea to stay at this place. So we left and had to insist getting my full refund. Not recommended at all”
“I have heard nice comments about this place so we needed to find out if it’s true! As you might be aware the roads in the mountains and signs are not European standard roads so don’t expect them. You are welcomed with a beautiful panoramic view and a hen clucking. The place could do with some improvements and a clean here and there however it has the basics you will enjoy. You will have fun in the small swimming pool as it is secluded and not busy as at the seaside! The service from the family was friendly and the food was amazing!”
“Ferma Jebala Ecolodge is situated not too far from Tetouan. The rooms, are actually individual bungalows, all have private facilities, towels and soap. The food is excellent, we had a chicken Tajine for dinner and breakfast was the best I have had for a long time, fresh cheese, hot bread, jam, butter, eggs, olives and tea. There is no wifi. The place would be excellent for hikes and also has a small swimmingpool. While I was there, there were a few Moroccon families staying too.”
“The owner picked us up from Tetouan and took us up to this hidey-hole. Well, what can I say?! Stunning views in a natural environment. Plenty of walking routes to the coast and local village. No WIFI/internet (I guess that's the whole point). Very basic rooms. However if you would like a break from the world, this is a place to be. My favourite part about the stay was the food. Each day breakfast and a HUGE freshly cooked tagine was delivered to our cottage. The tagine was amongst the tastiest food I've ever had in Morocco. Well worth a visit for the tagine alone. Unfortunately we couldn't use the pool since it was shut for winter. However if we enjoyed our stay in the winter, I can only imagine how much better it must be in the summer!”
“We had a wonderful stay here over Easter - it's perfectly located for a bit of peace and quiet away from the city. The hosts are extremely helpful and welcoming and there are some very nice hikes nearby. Food was also excellent!”
“I travelled with my 7 & 2 year old. The place is idyllic. Farmland, views of the mountains and Tetouan. My daughter went horse riding. Mohammed was a fantastic guide carried my two year old after he got too tired to walk. The chicken tagine lunch was delicious. It's rustic so don't expect luxury but really well worth a visit. It's also quite hard to find so get proper instructions or ask to be met.”
