The hourly rate for mechanics is around 40dirhams in Morocco. Aziz tried to charge us 800dirhams for 2 hours (MAX, that’s being generous) work, plus massively inflated prices for the parts used. When we caught him and attempted to rectify the cost, he began trying to add non existent items to make sure he gets more money from us. It was very obvious what he was trying to do, it’s very upsetting to think that people will try and scam you just because they think you have lots of money but that’s Morocco for you! He also was not careful be put a hole in our front grill while fixing the radiator. If you’re a tourist, don’t go here, it’s cheaper in Europe.”
