Hôtel Diamant d'Atlas

“Wanted to give this a better review as staff were friendly and welcoming. (Better than Hotel Salame where the owner was arrogant and rude). But...the rooms are bad, and full of flies. We booked a room with shower but the shower didn't work so had to use shared bathrooms anyway. Filthy floors, broken taps, broken TV, broken bed. At least the sheets were clean.”

“I booked this hotel with low expectations because the price was so affordable (only 80 MAD/$8 per night for one person), and was very pleasantly surprised! I arrived without having booked in advance, but I was given a room with queen-sized bed and its own sink. The room had a good amount of open space and a large window as well. There's also a rooftop that I could easily access, and with it came a really gorgeous view of the city. I was really impressed by the hotel itself. ||||The staff were also incredibly helpful (especially the employee named Asafee). They helped me plan a hiking route and were very happy to do so despite my broken Arabic. Framed maps on the walls were also very helpful in this respect. ||||Just one thing: if you intend to use the shower, I recommend bringing your own soap, conditioner, shampoo, etc since they just have one communal bar of soap. ||||Anyway, I would absolutely recommend this place! The employees of the shop just across the street are also quite kind. They gave me free water on a few occasions (a rare phenomenon in Morocco haha), so I would recommend that care as well.”

“Very nice personell, unfortunatelly only one you boy could speak english. But this dd not create any problem. Good hostel like conditions. European and Moroccan toilets. Water faucet on the room. Next to a street but not loud. Breakfat with fantastic orange juice in the restaurant below. Recommend for sure.”

“My friends and I stayed in Hotel Diamant D'Atlas for two nights in November. We arrived in the middle of the night because our bus was late; in spite of that, there was someone available to check us in at 4 am, for which we were very grateful. The hotel is located in the main area of Azrou and it's rather quiet inside. The rooms are spacious, very affordable (I paid 80 MAD/night, my friends paid 120 for a couple.) A full breakfast (including all options) was very filling and cost for only 20 MAD. Smaller breakfasts were available for cheaper but we wanted to eat a lot. The rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable and the separate showers clean with hot water. Toilets were Western and Moroccan. The owner is very helpful and gave us good suggestions for nearby places to visit, and the neighborhood is safe. I also had my clothes washed here. I highly recommend Hotel Diamant D'Atlas.”

“We stayed in this hotel for one night for transfer. The room had fungus on the ceiling, the blankets on the bed had stains on them and the toilets were very rundown and the moroccan one didn't have any water to rinse. The room we had was very loud, because it was facing a very busy street and the WIFI wasn't available there. We didn't try the breakfast because we had to drive on very early. At least the staff was friendly, but sadly they didn't speak english at all. I don't think it is possible to find a cheaper shelter around (2 persons for 140DH), for transfer ok, for longer stays definately not.”

“Before arriving in Azrou, I made a list of hotels with rooms for three people. We visited all of them, and chose Diamant d'Atlas. The room included a double bed and two singles, along with a sink. After check-in, the staff wheeled over a heater for us, which was great given the cold winter mountain weather.||There were 2 European and 2 squat toilets on our floor. The shower wasn't good, but at 160dh/night total for 3, I'm not complaining.||There are helpful park maps on the wall. The front desk gave us a small map of limited utility for hiking, and the park office gave us a big map of limited utility for anything. The GPS on Google Maps was the solution. Many fences were hopped. Great visit!”
