“In its literature online, the pictures had to be taken when the hotel was new. It is a rundown accommodation in desperate need of serious cleaning, renovation, maintenance and TLC. We were told the spa was closed for renovations, but not a single worker was in sight and there was no mention of this in their online presence. As well the restaurant was also closed, no reason given. The breakfast was edible but extremely limited in what it offered and some things were not fresh..dried up orange slices, dried out bread and cheese slices. After we had finished eating on our first morning, the attendant asked if we would like an omelet!! The floor was very greasy and slippery.|It is located on a short and noisy one way street in a somewhat less desirable area. One can walk to some restaurants and the market, as well as a beautiful park and cathedral a few blocks away. The rooms are efficient, the beds are comfortable. We were moved to a suite as the first room had a broken toilet and non-draining sink. They are not as clean as most guests would expect, with sticky floors, missing woodwork that has broken off, dirty grout in the bathroom shower and floors. Our towel rod fell off the wall and only the handheld shower worked. There was lots of hot water, however. The pool is located in a semi dark basement next to the parking garage...not very inviting down there! The front desk staff were very pleasant, however seemed to have limited to no authority to do much along with minimal fluency in English. We did receive 2 small bottles of water daily and clean towels which were once white. One day Housekeeping did not come in! We stayed 5 nights because we were at the end of a 3 week journey and did not wish to pack up and move elsewhere at our expense. We saw 2 other guests during our entire stay. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. I'm sure, in its early days, it was quite grand, but has lost any resemblance to that time. The price we paid was a definite overcharge given all the negatives encountered. One would almost think they were preparing to close.”
“Deeply disappointed with how the front desk handled our situation. Our room was booked for two guests, and when we needed to add a third, the staff member at the counter refused to even discuss upgrade options no alternatives offered, no solutions proposed. As a result, we were forced to leave our room at 11pm with nowhere to go. Would not recommend this property to anyone traveling in a group. Management needs to train their front desk staff on basic hospitality.”
“Hotel outside yet very convenient to the medina, spacious room with all the basic amenities and services. Good value for money in the city and close to various attractions.”
“the location was great. the staff helped us find parking and were quite friendly.|the room was ok but it felt like the cleaning staff were not that great. no toilet paper, then we realize there was not towel, then there was missing pillows...|the hotel was really noisy, it was hard to sleep, we could here everything in the corridor and in the other rooms. the breakfast was amazing.”
“Decently clean, but located a bit into the allys. Small rooms, rusting a bit at places, very limited supply of linen and toiletries. Polite staff and helpful and friendly people. Was not worth the money I paid the tour operator”
“I had a great stay at this hotel, the room was clean and comfortable, WiFi worked well and it was well located. I did have an issue with the staff when checking out (at 5:30am). I was not informed when checking in or checking out there is a tourism fee payable. After checking out the staff member chased me down the road yelling at me and being very aggressive demanding money, in the street in the dark. He even swore at me rather than trying to explain their mistake in not informing me of the fee, he instead yelled at me demanding money but not explaining what for. It was rather scary experience”
