“If you ride a motorcycle, this place is a great place to stay because he has controlled parking with a locked gate at night and he also has cameras in the yard is being watched 24 hours a day. The manager was very friendly and very accommodating. The food was absolutely excellent and I never say that about food. Me and five other Motorcycle stayed and we had dinner and breakfast and both were very good.”
“A very pleasant, polite, and delicate host. Everything matches the description. Interesting, colorful, authentic accommodations, beautiful views from the windows, large rooms (we had a two-room family room, which comfortably accommodates 5 people). Beautiful traditional interior, a pleasant breakfast in the morning - an omelet, delicious local flatbreads, cottage cheese, jam, honey, Moroccan sweets, tea, coffee, juice, and yogurt. The host will tell you everything you need to know about what to find and see in the city, and will promptly resolve any questions.”
“Stayed in hotel Alkhalifa and had a pleasant stay during our trip to Chefchaouen. The road leading to the hotel was damaged because of a landslide caused by recent rain. The manager Nourrdine reached out to us on the day of our check-in and gave instructions to our driver on where he can stop. The manager made multiple trips on his scooter to take all our luggage to the hotel. We had the family suite, which had two rooms. Wifi worked fine. The rooms were spacious, but the bathroom was very small. We did not have any issue with the hot water though. You could hear the noise from the street, but it was not too loud. The air conditioning worked fine. The manager gave restaurant recommendations and they turned out to be great. He also organized a guide for us for the next day. Hot breakfast was included and it was better than what we expected. The manager helped with the luggage on the day of check out also. Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel.”
“The road to the hotel is falsely closed, where young guys on scooters are waiting below and will take you to the hotel, where they demand money for guiding you. We gave them 5 EUR and it wasn't enough for them. The hotel has parking for motorbikes which is nice but Booking says parking is free and the price is 56EUR for two people with breakfast. We didn't have a reservation through Booking and the owner probably charged us 75 EUR!!! When I showed him the price on Booking he simply didn't discount it anyway, saying there was parking and other fabrications. So I wanted to book through Booking but suddenly it wasn't possible because the hotel was sold out. Yet there was no one there. I didn't enjoy the arguing anymore so we paid 75 EUR and suddenly it was possible to book again on Booking. The hotel is absolutely not worth the price. We traveled all over Morocco and everywhere we stayed was around 50 EUR and everywhere was luxurious accommodation. This cannot be said about this hotel.”
“The host was extremely respectful and kind to me as a solo traveler, a difference from my immediate check in in Fez and as I write this, in Tangier. He will make himself available if you have any questions as you roam about town. His best advice, and I am in agreement, get lost in the medina. Lots of picture taking opportunities. Also, sit on the terrace upstairs.”
“We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast was excellent, with delicious traditional msemen. The location is great as well, just a short distance from the city center. Recommend.”
