“I really liked the hotel. The location is convenient - in the heart of the action, but still easy to find. The atmosphere of the place is just magical - like from a fairy tale. The owner, Mohamed, is very positive and pleasant to talk to. It's cozy, clean, and comfortable, and I highly recommend it.”
“A wonderful mini-hotel. It's immediately obvious that the owners put their heart and soul into everything they do – you can feel it in every detail. It's spotlessly clean, with crisp white linens and even the curtains on the windows, a pleasant aroma everywhere, and authentic decor. A very cozy place. The hosts are welcoming and always smiling. It's great that the rooms are heated for the colder months. And the rooftop terrace is simply incredible!”
“We stayed there on night. It is really very simple but also very very beautiful. Every room is tiny but has a private bathroom. All decorated with a good taste. There is a fantastic view of the mountains from the beautiful terrace where you can sit and relax.||We didn't try the breakfast which was 35 dinars and it is buffet we were told.||We had the two rooms at the top floor. One of them had the window with mountain view. Everything was almost perfect until we got off at midnight with the noise of school group shouting and banging doors, talking in laud voice. The came and left in 15 min, The worse was at 2 am when they all came back and started to make more noise than before. I had to get up and tell them I was going to call the police so they started to be quiter. But they ruined our sleep. As the rooms are so tiny and the windows are thin, it can be a real nightmare for a person who wakes up easily. I haven't noticed any teacher around and even the owner of the hostel wasn't around to tell them be quiet. The wifi doesn't work in the rooms, at least on the top floor didn't work. The water was almost cold that we were freezing. There wasn't any hair dryer. I think you have to pay extra for the heating. But it was less cold in the rooms during the night than during the day.||Over all, if there weren't noisy people staying in and if there was some hot water, we would have been perfect.||In the morning, neither the teachers or the owner did apologies for the disaster of the night while we were leaving.”
“My friend and I had a great experience at Hotel Grenika. It’s a 3 minute walk uphill (but an easy walk, not too steep), a couple minute walk to the main square, the Mirador, and Ras el Mas, and lots of cafes. The staff, Mohammed and Hasan, were so kind and helpful. They answered all our questions, helped with directions, and recommended some very nice restaurants and cafes that we tried and enjoyed. The hotel was so pretty, our room was nice and spacious, our favourite was the rooftop terrance! We had a great 1 night stay and would recommend this place especially as first time visitors”
“We have checked in initially for two nights, but we found out that Chefchaouen need maximum a day to see. So we asked the manager if it’s okay to check out early, he said yes and just pay for one night. So because Mohammed the manager was kind enough to let us pay only for one night we tipped him an extra 50 dirhams. So in total we paid him for one night (two rooms) 800 dirhams. Now we found out that our friends when booking the room had paid in full for the two nights. Meaning that Mohammed the manager have robbed us 800 dirhams. Mohammed should have known that the room was already charged and paid for in full. We expect a total refund that was paid initially to reserve the two rooms. Thank you”
“Terrific location, very cheap, quiet, clean, great roof top. We had booked another place but they had some issues so we were 'sub let' out. No issue there as our accom was great and cheaper ( no discount given for move but that's ok ).|A couple of suggestions - invest in some fans for the rooms and try to get wifi for the whole building. Couldn't fault otherwise and for the price of 22€ a double room, a steal.”
