“If I had to describe our experience at Desert Sands in one word, it would be: outstanding. I went with my girlfriend looking to disconnect, enjoy some kitesurfing, and eat well… and honestly, it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment you arrive, you realize this is not just any place. The facilities are beautifully designed, with a relaxed and stylish vibe that instantly puts you in vacation mode. Everything is thoughtfully put together: the common areas are super cozy, the rooms are comfortable and have that special touch that makes you want to stay longer than planned. But if there’s one thing that truly blew us away, it was the food. Seriously, top-level. Every dish had flavor, care, and personality. You can tell there’s real passion in the kitchen. The breakfasts are amazing to start the day full of energy, and both lunch and dinner could easily compete with top restaurants. It’s the kind of place where you want to try everything on the menu. The staff is another huge highlight. Friendly, attentive, always smiling, and with that rare ability to make you feel at home without being intrusive. They help with everything, give great recommendations, and genuinely care about your experience. And if you’re into kitesurfing, this place is a dream. It’s literally just steps from the water, which makes your whole day so easy: wake up, have a great breakfast, grab your gear, and you’re riding in minutes. Total convenience. Plus, the atmosphere with other riders is just amazing. A special mention has to go to the hotel manager, Lenam, a truly exceptional guy. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs perfectly and that every guest feels taken care of. You can tell he puts his heart into the place, and it really makes a difference. Overall, Desert Sands is one of those rare places that perfectly combines great vibes, quality, sport, and relaxation. Ideal whether you’re going as a couple or with friends. We left feeling like we had discovered something special… and already wanting to come back. 100% recommended. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed at.”

Imagine waking up to the soft light of the morning sun, stepping out of your bungalow into the common area, and enjoying your breakfast and coffee outdoors while gazing out at the lagoon. Their warmth and attentiveness made me feel welcome from the very beginning. There’s a really positive and relaxed atmosphere at the camp — it felt like home almost immediately. Everyone, both staff and guests, contributed to a great vibe that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was excellent — fresh, tasty, and varied every day. You can tell they put real effort into making meals that guests will enjoy. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Dakhla. Peaceful, well-organized, and full of great people. “The Desert Sands is definitely the place to stay in Dakhla. The kindness and help of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the common areas, and the delicious food are among the best I've seen in a beach hotel. Also the views are amazing and they are really close to the beach. Regarding kitesurf, they give a complete attention while you are on the water, help you with your gear and offer a good set of excursions that make the most of your trip. I'm sure I'll stay here again next time I come to Dakhla.”

“I stayed with my brother for 6 days to kitesurf. We loved our stay here, food is amazing and varied, staff is extremely helpful and kind. Location is close to the lagoon so perfect for kitesurfing. Internet at the common area is really good and sufficient for teleworking. Unfortunately no internet in the rooms. We took water with us from the city as water is quite expensive at the hotel.”
