“Tasty, easy & great value for price. For the full menu (only 70mad) you get a lot - salad, bread, harira, main course, fruits, small pastry and tea. Even though all the three floors of the restaurant were packed, the service was attentive, friendly and quick. The waiter was talented at reading guests and their needs. Such features rarely exist in the busiest tourist squares. 26.5.”
“We had a fabulous meal here. The food was delicious (soup, beef cous cous with vegetables, dessert), their harissa sauce is top notch, and the coffee and tea were great. The service was impeccable from kind and friendly staff. It was also a good value for the money and in an ideal spot for people watching. Highly recommend.”
“The worst experience ever, I'd gave a -10 if I could! Catastrophic service, rude waiters with no manners, very dirty and smelly place, no sign of maintenance, and disgusting drinks. In addition, the waiter dared to tell us clearly that they mixed orange juice with water. Seeing all the other beautiful places in Fes, this is a disgrace to the city. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, JUST RUN!!!”
“We kept seeing this gorgeous looking terrace every time we passed through the Blue Gate so we decided to check it out. We went up to the top floor. The views were good but not as good as I was expecting. It was actually quite hot up there so I don't even want to think about what it feels like in the summer. The service here is quite rude. We were asked what we wanted without even being given a menu and when we asked what they had he got upset. Then the next server got very upset that we didn't want to eat. They charge more for drinks when you don't order food. And they weren't even that good. The banana milkshake was literally warm milk with banana mashed into it. I made my friend drink it.”
“The worst food we had in Morocco. It is cheap, but you can definitely taste that. The staff is unfriendly, has no manners and doesn't speak English. If you think that they can't rip you off anymore, then you are wrong in this restaurant. Even if you didn't touch the bread till change you 40 dirham. The view from the terrace is nice though.”
“This was our worst coffee experience in Morocco ( and we've been travelling for over 2 weeks, drinking coffee daily!). We decided to take a quick break from wandering the souks and drink a quick coffee, mainly because of the terrace view onto the famous Blue Gate. The service was APPALLING. We chose a seat on the terrace and when the server came to us, he took away the menu and said that we can't just order drinks here. How rude! We went downstairs and the man advertising said we can stay for drinks. He charged us a lot more than expected because the price for drinks only is different to when you also order food. He told us that because we were 'his special guests' he would charge us less. After a moment he told us his boss didn't allow it, so all in all we were charged almost double the standard price. The coffee was TRAGIC, it tasted like Nescafé in a little package. Take into consideration that this is a money making machine that isn't authentic at all. Only tourists eat/drink here. If that's what you're looking for, enjoy - not for us though.”
