“We were taken to this restaurant by the host of the apartment we had booked, while we were waiting for the check-in. At first, this might seem normal, but the situation quickly became uncomfortable. We were repeatedly pressured to order food, even after clearly stating that we only wanted to wait. The insistence was excessive and made us feel trapped in the situation. It felt less like hospitality and more like a tactic to push us into consuming. What made things worse is that this happened while the apartment was still not ready, well past the expected check-in time. The overall experience felt very misleading and poorly handled. In addition, the prices were quite high compared to other places in the area, which reinforced the impression that this setup was designed to take advantage of guests. I would not recommend this place. Be cautious if you are brought here under similar circumstances.”
“I had a wonderful experience at Café Restaurant Bel Kayed. I arrived a bit early before dinner time, yet the lady kindly came in especially to cook for me, which I found very generous. Their hospitality was warm and genuine, and I truly felt welcomed. I enjoyed my meal on the terrace while watching the sunset — such a beautiful and peaceful setting. Highly recommend for both the food and the kindness of the people here. 🌅🍴”
“We stopped by for lunch. Even tho it's a bit tricky to reach, as it's tucked away in some lesser-known streets, it’s a welcoming place with a lovely atmosphere. The staff is kind and attentive, and the food is carefully prepared and full of flavor. We chose the set menu, which included a starter, a main course, and fruit, and we were very satisfied with the quality-to-price ratio. The terrace is beautiful and adds a relaxing vibe to the whole experience.”
“The atmosphere is pleasant, the decor is stylish and the food is traditional and tasty. However, the restaurant owner would repeatedly come to our table and insist that we left a 5-star review here, to an extent he even took our phones and was watching to check if we'd rate the restaurant as he wanted. We noticed him doing the same with other customers, so I presume many of reviews here are not genuine. That sort of intimidation ruined our experience, and I wouldn't go back there.”
“Great place with a great service. Would recommend for it's simplicity & close to everything in Fez.”
“We booked this place through booking . With a check in time after 2pm.the location was incorrect. They attempted to cancel our reservation for 4 people (one pregnant woman with us) after we traveled many hours to fes. And did not give us the adress or location until after we had been driving around fes for over an hour after being given the wrong adress. When we finally arrived we were told the room isn't ready and they have to remove people from the place so that we have our room ready which we already paid for through booking. The hosts made us wait for over an hour before giving us the room which came with no towels we had to ask for towels to take a shower, after traveling all day. The food was very tasteful but they charge in euros and was one of the most expensive meals we tried in morocco. We received no discount on the food or room despite not having our room ready upon arrival and making us to feel guilty for removing people from our room .”
