Sodfa

“Sodfa is a beautiful hidden gem under the Water Clock. The entrance is only a few steps down a small alley (on the way to Anou Wool workshops) and to the right. It isn't visible from the street. Once you find it and step down inside it is a cosy tiled restaurant with three spaces. It isn't huge but it's clean with lots of cute decoration and lights. The restaurant is run by some family members and it also seems to be a place for friends giving each other warm greetings. Such super nice people and always someone can help speaking Arabic / French / English. The food is really good. Like cooked like your mother would make. I ate tajine and cous cous that was prepared by one of the cooks, Ana and the tea was served by her sons. It was really fresh vegetables and chicken. I enjoyed my visit to Sodfa a lot and I really recommend this hidden jewel a lot.”

“We had a wonderful dinner in a beautifully historic setting—the former home of the philosopher Mosouses Mimoid in Fes. The warm reception made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was exceptional. We started with an assortment of Moroccan salads that were truly outstanding, followed by chicken and lamb tagines, as well as pastilla—each dish among the best we’ve tasted in Fes. The place itself is cosy and full of character, and the staff take the experience to an entirely higher level with their friendliness and attention to detail.
