“Hotel Zitoune ( spelling on my card ) is in the Medina of Marrakesh and is ideal for walking around the old city. I stayed here for 7 nights. The two staff here over my stay both spoke reasonable English and could not have been more helpful. My room ( room 4 ) was at the top of stairs above reception. It was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the pillow too. Although small and cell-like it had everything I needed. There is a basin in the room. The door is very solid. I am a light sleeper so being just above reception was an issue for me as I could hear people coming back and talking at reception. The streets in the Medina area are very narrow so the only vehicles you'll see and hear are mopeds which tend to make a lot of noise. This would be an issue wherever you stayed and not just at this hotel. The shared bathroom just around the corner from my room was clean ( dependent on how the other guests left it ) and he shower was very good. The hotel is only a short walk from the main square. My biggest problem was not having a phone capable of using the internet. Going around the soaks without the internet was very difficult. The younger of the two staff helped me book a couple of trips. A driver met me at the hotel. I would recommend using the reception staff to book the trips for you. I paid under £10 a night for my stay at Hotel Zitoune. Superb value. I felt that my belongings were very safe in the room too.”
“It's tucked out of the way but very close to Jmaa el Fnaa and most of the Medina is within a 10 minute walk|Rooms are basic but very clean.... I didn't discover the terrace until late on my 2nd day|Staff are incredibly friendly|If you want your own bathroom this isn't the hotel for you.... Nor if you want modern luxuries. Rooms have a basic bed a sink and one plug point to charge your phone.|But if you just want a place to rest in this incredible city it's in a perfect spot, it's good value for money (I paid EUR30 for 3 nights) and for me it was ideal”
“I stayed for three nights at this place. The value for money was great. The place was clean, staff were accommodating, polite and friendly, they provided a towel and slippers which I didn’t have to take a shower, the shower had steady hot water. The room is basic but has all you need. The location is perfect as it takes you one minute to get to the square. Couldn’t have asked for a better place and I totally recommend it.”
“Good hotel. Clean, small and simply equipped room. Good price, ask for an offer. Hot water for shower, for hands cold only. Toilet and shower are shared with other rooms on the floor. But well maintained and clean. Rooms are without window, only to hallway. Nice terrace (shared), but without any great view. Little bit noisy from outside and inside too. WiFi is weak in the room :(”
“Convenient location with nice staff. Breakfast is good. Room a bit small but still okay. Location is best. Staff also nice and supportive. We did waterfall tour and quality is quite good. Price also fair. Only wifi weak at night and door is quite old that always getting noise. Overall is worth to stay.”
“I can’t say enough good things about Hotel Zaitoune. The location is amazing. The accommodations are great, especially for the price. The staff is very nice. All in all a great experience. I hope to definitely come back.”
