“😊: I stayed for 16 days on probably the smallest room they have available and it was quite nice. Of course, it is in fact very small, but for the price that you pay and by staying in the heart of the Medina and very close to the plaza, it is definately well worth it. I could even manage to work throughout all these days and sometimes I did it in the room. Internet service just failed once all these days, which is totally acceptable..”
“Good points first. The proximity to the beach and beach bar was great - just a walk across the road. The staff there were friendly and the quality of bar food was good. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. It was within walking distance of the medina where there were some good restaurants. |Not so good. |I messaged the hotel with various questions prior to arrival. Only one was answered despite me repeating them. Booking.com followed these up me as well twice but they didn’t get any reply either. |The hotel bedrooms were tired and dated. There is renovation work going on which is good but we didn’t know about it and it was quite noisy around the pool. |There was a problem with our understanding about breakfast which we were partly to blame for but an easy mistake to make. When we chose the restaurant one of the hightlights described by Booking.com was good breakfast. Given the price of the hotel for a week we assumed that meant it was included as in nearly all of the hotels in this price range we have been to breakfast has been included. It was 180 dirhams ( roughly 18 euros) each but the standard and quality were well below what we are used to in this class and price of hotel. Needless to say we ate breakfast elsewhere. |The only other thing that upset us was the young lady behind the bar. When we asked for a glass of ice to take to our room in the evenings she insisted we ring room service to deliver it. But we did that the first night and it arrived over 30 minutes later! Luckily she was only on duty 3 out of the 7 nights we were there. The other staff were very helpful about supplying us with ice.”
“😊: The location was good. The staff were helpful. I could get everywhere I wanted to go easily. 😢: I don't think I need to go to Marrakech again - I've been going for decades and was rather disappointed the last couple of times..”
“This hotel was extremely disappointing and does not deserve to be called a proper hotel😡🤬. There is only one staff member, and unfortunately he was very rude and behaved like a scammer. The service was very bad from the beginning. We paid for our stay in advance through Booking.com, but when we arrived, they asked us to pay again. Because it was late and all other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay. In the end, we were charged double payment, which is completely unacceptable🤬. The room was clean,🙂 but it was extremely small, too small to be considered a hotel room. There was no attached bathroom. 🤬The toilet and shower were on a different floor, which was very inconvenient and uncomfortable. The location is also very bad and hard to find. It is inside a very narrow alley, and no taxi or vehicle can reach the hotel. We had to walk a long distance with our luggage, which was very difficult and stressful. There is absolutely no value for money, and the reality is very different from what is shown online. If anyone is planning to book this Medina hotel, please don’t. I strongly do not recommend this place.😕😕”
“Hotel Medina was totally okay to stay at for a night, wouldn‘t have stayed longer tho. The beds were a little bit uncomfortable and there were no windows. It was a VERY simple and small room. However the service was great. The man at the reception was friendly and got us a taxi the next day to bring us to the airport. The rooftop terrace was a plus. Very pretty :)”
“Lovely little hotel right in the Medina. We stayed for one night before travelling on and it was ideal. The room was small and lacked storage and the toilet and shower are on the landing. But the beds are comfortable, it's clean and the guy on reception was very helpful and friendly. There's also a great roof terrace. Much better than I expected for Dh160 (less than 13 quid) for three people. Would definitely stay again.”
