“WARNING: HUGE SCAM — DO NOT BUY ANYTHING! Fake products and massively inflated prices — this is a sophisticated tourist trap run by local guides, including ones recommended by hotels. They are trained to gain your trust. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL! They served us tea that made us feel strangely calm and compliant — and only afterward did they push the prices and “exclusive offers.” We believe the tea may have been laced with scopolamine or another substance that affects decision-making. It’s known to cause confusion, amnesia, and extreme suggestibility. We all felt like we were being hypnotized into buying absurd amounts of fake products. I’m sharing videos of the scammers here. Our group spent around €1,500, and what we received was completely different from what we were shown and tested. These are scam professionals — masters of psychological manipulation and deception.”
“HUGE SCAM Be careful – scam! Receptionist of the hotel sent me to a shop saying his niece “Fadua” works there (I ended up at the wrong shop, my mistake). The woman lied about being her. Argan oil was fake (wrong smell, wrong color) and their “Nila” was purple, overpriced (200DH/100g) and stains skin permanently. Heartless to lie about family just to scam. Buy argan oil only on the coast (Agadir–Essaouira) with official ONSSA certification! I put the photo in the review for others to see real argan oil (right) and the one they sell (left) for you to see the difference yourself. Don’t trust this company and specifically not this woman, حشم على راسك، الله يسامحك. May god forgive you.”
“We had a great experience in this place. It is a woman cooperative. Fatima is an excellent saleswoman that knows her products very well and explains the characteristics of every one of them. Even though her methods can feel too direct for some people, we were treated with respect and she doesn’t force you to buy anything. She lets you try or smell anything you want to buy first. I admire Fatima’s business.”
“A magical little place with the finest Moroccan products. The ambiance is warm and soothing. I tried eucalyptus oil in a steam session—absolutely refreshing! The shopkeeper gave great advice and didn’t rush me. I’ll cherish the experience and the beautiful products I brought home with me.🌹”
“Gave me a very bad impression. The sales tactics are too aggressive and the products are extremely overpriced.”
“This herboriste is a true treasure in the heart of Marrakech. The selection of herbs, oils, and natural cosmetics is outstanding. Everything is authentic and locally sourced. The staff is welcoming and takes time to explain each product. I left feeling relaxed and well taken care of.”
