“Our stay at Le Claire Fontaine was, without question, one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco. It was the very first place we stayed after arriving in Marrakech, and after traveling through other parts of the country, we kept comparing every hotel to Le Claire Fontaine. It truly set the standard, and nowhere else quite measured up.
The riad itself is absolutely stunning. Every detail of the architecture, interior design, and décor feels intentional and thoughtfully curated. From the beautiful courtyard to the rooms—and even the room keys—you can tell that everything was chosen with exceptional taste. The atmosphere is luxurious, peaceful, and authentically Moroccan while still offering every modern comfort.
Our room was quiet, beautifully designed, impeccably clean, and fully equipped with air conditioning, a refrigerator, coffee, bottled water, and a gorgeous bathroom. It was the perfect place to unwind after exploring Marrakech.
The location was also ideal—central enough to easily reach everything we wanted to see while still feeling like a peaceful retreat from the energy of the city.
Breakfast each morning was exceptional. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. It quickly became something we looked forward to every day.
What truly makes Le Claire Fontaine special, though, is the people. Every member of the staff was warm, kind, professional, and genuinely invested in making our stay exceptional. Whether it was arranging taxis, helping with restaurant reservations, offering recommendations, or simply greeting us with a smile, the service was consistently impeccable.
A special thank you goes to Soulaimane, whose hospitality went far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. He was always available, incredibly organized, punctual, accommodating, and made every aspect of our stay effortless. Smail and Youness were equally wonderful, and together they made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived.
The hospitality was so sincere that we actually left as friends with Soulaimane and even had the opportunity to share dinner with his family. That’s certainly not something anyone should expect as part of a stay, but it perfectly reflects the warmth, generosity, and care that defines this place.
We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who were just as welcoming and gracious as the rest of the team. It’s clear they’ve created something truly special.
I would recommend Le Claire Fontaine to just about anyone—couples looking for a romantic getaway, families, solo travelers wanting a comfortable and memorable stay, first-time visitors to Marrakech, or even people who visit the city regularly. If it’s within your budget, I genuinely think it’s worth it. Considering the quality of the accommodations, service, and overall experience, I felt it offered excellent value.
Without hesitation, I would stay here again. In fact, the next time I’m in Marrakech, I won’t even look for another hotel—I already know where I’ll be staying. Le Claire Fontaine made our first stop in Morocco unforgettable, and it remained my favorite place I stayed throughout the country.
