“The journey to Riad Dar Thalge felt like slipping through time. Our driver maneuvered through a series of winding roads and impossibly tight concrete arches—barely wide enough for a single vehicle. 🫣Eventually, we reached a tiny parking area and were greeted by the riad’s porter? who led us the rest of the way on foot. We wound through dimly lit tunnels/alleys and after a two-minute walk through what felt like a secret passageway, we stopped in front of a solid black steel door. When it opened, we weren’t sure what to expect, but the city definitely melted away. 😳 Inside, Riad Dar Thalge was a peaceful haven—calm, cool, and impossibly beautiful. We had not only this peaceful retreat but also a delicious Moroccan breakfast included in the morning. Unbelievable. 💕 The staff is friendly and accommodating. Mary and Franck are so helpful with navigating the area. We woke to birds chirping and the sun shining over the rooftop terrace, which offers stunning views over the city’s rooftops. We could see the Atlas Mountains, highest mountains in North Africa. With only a handful of rooms, the riad feels like a well-kept secret. They cannot all be this beautiful! 🕊️”
“Beautiful Riad in the heart of the medina. The owners are a wonderful and inspiring couple with whom we’ve had a great time. The rooms are very clean and fresh, the housemaids are truly nice and helpful. They also serve meals if requested and it feels like eating a meal cooked by a Moroccan mother 🌱🌟 Truly recommend and will definitely return when visiting Marrakesh again.”
“Great location, value is just about for the money. Outside the Medina is loud, is not super clean and very very busy area of the city but once you enter here its peaceful and warm. The owner was very welcoming and we got a long really well with the actor-student who was securing the Riad over weekend. The place was really friendly, warm and amazing breakfast!”
“This place is a hidden oasis. It had a very peaceful atmosphere to it. It is beautiful inside with white walls and a gorgeous blue pool in the center. The staff were immediately accommodating and helped us sort our trip details out. Very professional and spoke very good english so communication was a breeze. The room we stayed in was super clean. The balcony is very nice as well and has a couple areas to hang out in. The only down point I had was that it was super easy to hear through the walls and windows of the room, so any noise at night could be heard. But besides that our stay was incredible and we really enjoyed it. Would highly reccomend it.”
