“My stay at Riad Laora in Marrakech was overall fine. The room was spacious and comfortable, which I really appreciated. However, the echoing noise was a significant downside—it made it hard to fully relax. The riad’s location is a definite plus, as it’s conveniently positioned for exploring the city. That said, the service was quite basic, lacking the extra touch that could have made the stay more memorable. It’s a decent option if you’re looking for good location and comfort, but be prepared for noise.”
“★★★★★ I had a wonderful stay at Riad Laora! We arrived late at night and were warmly welcomed by a young man who made us feel right at home. He was attentive throughout our stay, even bringing us delicious and plentiful breakfasts each morning. Our cozy room on the second floor offered a lovely view of the courtyard, adding to the authentic experience. The riad was spotless and ideally located in the heart of the Medina, with easy access to the market and souvenir shops. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, hospitality, and a true taste of the local atmosphere!”
“My friend and I had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful riad in Marrakesh ! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and cared for, making our holiday truly unforgettable. A heartfelt thank you to Houda, Simo, Azayza, and Zakaria—each of them played a special role in making our experience exceptional. Houda was incredibly helpful and always ensured we had everything we needed. Simo was a true gentleman, always kind, professional, and attentive, making us feel right at home. Azayza’s warm energy and hospitality were truly heartwarming, and Zakaria was always there with a friendly smile, ready to assist with anything. The riad itself is an absolute gem—beautiful traditional decor, a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and full of Moroccan charm. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, carefully prepared with fresh local ingredients. Everything about our stay was perfect, and it’s all thanks to this amazing team. If you’re looking for an authentic, welcoming, and truly special experience in Morocco, this riad is the perfect choice! Thank you again for making our trip so special—we appreciate you all! Yosra”
“Cute little establishment. Great value for the price. Staff are great and very helpful. Room was comfy and the bed very much. It’s quite a noisy building, but expected for the style of building. Very good location for getting around the old town, but is a bit of a pain if you’ve lots of luggage as it’s off of the main road.”
“We are a couple in their 20s. The whole Riad echoes a lot and is noisy, even a cough or any noise from the kitchen on the ground floor and easily be heard due to the fact old wooden windows were kept. We had our room on the ground floor which we disliked very much due to the location(noise) and very dark decor and asked for a change because this and wanted more quiet due to news of family death. Abdel was helpful and changed our rooms. Keep in mind if you are on the ground floor rooms you can hear everything and guests will eat at their tables a few feet away from you. 1st floor is bearable but still noisy. Rooms are serviced each day but apart from getting new towels there is no cleaning and rooms and the whole Riad is dirty and in need of hoovering. Wifi is non existent, if we had any it was around 3-4 mbs which was not enough for browsing even…. Their taxi service is overpriced and charges extra before 8am (booked ours for 7:30). You can book half price through booking and will receive same service (we know because we tried). Water is over priced as well, 20 dirham for 1,5l - for comparison street vendor sells it for less than third of price 6 dirham. We have specifically asked if they cater for vegans in a message before booking with them and they said yes, we have also explained what we eat and don’t eat at check in and once after that still to no avail and was served the same as everyone else, butter pancakes and dairy yoghurt. We had to stick to bread and Jam. Birds come into the Riad and sing which is nice. All in all you can easily find a better Riad for the price.”
“The riad is CLOSED. We had such a bad experience. We booked through a website, and when we went to the Riad, the locals said it has closed down. No indication on google or the booking website whatsoever that it is no longer operating. They didn’t pick up our calls either.”
