“Salah is AMAZING and very kind. I purchased a guembri from his shop and it’s the best quality. He also gave me a music lesson. He took the time out to teach me the basics and that really made me feel special. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable. I went to several music stores and this one was the best by far. Salah is a lover of music and you can see/feel his passion. I will definitely return here and recommend this shop to anyone that is interested in purchasing instruments.”
“I went to this very cool store 2 days ago planning to buy an instrument for my granddaughter. The young man minding the store would not help me at all, in fact, he walked away after I had been there maybe 2-3 minutes and he went into another store. I was very disappointed but ended up finding what I wanted with an Etsy shop. Maybe not a place for women. He asked for my husband.”
“Best music shop in the city. Authentic items available. Staff know their stuff and happy to take the time to talk. If I visit again I'm bringing an empty suitcase and filling it at this store!”
“It took some aggressive haggling to get a good price but we are very happy with the square drums that we bought from them.”
“Beautiful music shop. We did not buy anything but I did want to rate this place. The staff is hilarious, joking around and giving the place a nice vibe. Great to see a shop like this!”
“This is the worst shopping experience in Marrakech. I came here two times. I came directly to the shop with the intention of buying a darbouka. The first time: the seller just ignored me, talking to a friend or another seller, idk. I was like an empty place there. So I asked the price and got the answer "600" with no welcoming continuation of the conversation. It was embarrassing, I left. I came again in a couple hours, cuz I wanted a darbouka; there was some customer and he was in a conversation with the seller. I waited a bit. Then the conversation ended and the seller started to stare at the street, so no attention again, but I asked again about specific darbouka and available sizes. There was an answer like "I have these" and then again he turned back to me paying full attention to the street. No way I would buy anything there. Unbelievable. Is it because I'm a woman? Seriously, in the country that depends on tourism? Terrible service.”
