“Had a great meal at Amor. The tagine was really nice and felt very traditional, the chicken was tender, and the skewers were cooked well too. Good food, good flavour and overall a great experience.”
“What a disaster after a week of good local food in Marrakesh. We were looking for Italian food and got a tip to go to this restaurant. We ordered pasta chicken with mushrooms and a pizza margherita. The pizza looked like it just came out of the freezer! Luckily the pasta was a little bit better, but also far from good. The staff wasn’t friendly at all and also didn’t ask if we were enjoying the food. When we “finished” the food it was hard to get attention from a waiter. After waving a waiter finally came. He saw that only three slices of pizza had been eaten, but deliberately avoided asking whether we liked it. We asked for the bill and were told that we could pay downstairs. Once downstairs was the guy who tipped us, he asked if we had enjoyed the meal, and we explained that the food had been a huge disappointment. He told his colleagues that we wouldn’t have to pay for the pizza and apologized. However, at the register, his colleague felt differently and insisted that we still had to pay because some of the pizza had already been eaten and they could no longer do anything with it. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience and, above all, absolutely not recommended.
“The lamb chops were not good, more fat than beef. The Gusgus Royal was very dry, the best part was the carrot. The royal tea was bitter and the Kebab was covered in big Mac sauce. Never ever again!”
“Food was quite tasteless, the service wasn’t the best, we’d be ignored or our server would leave or talk to somebody while we were ordering. Ordered the chicken mushroom pasta and the camel burger, although the pasta looked very aesthetically appealing, it had no taste whatsoever. The camel burger was ok but the salad in it was not fresh. The meat Briouates were quite good and they had vegetarian ones too. The restaurant itself is very pretty and has a nice rooftop view of the main market.”
“During my visit to Marrakech, I had the pleasure of dining at Amornakoch Café, and it was truly a memorable experience. Although the restaurant is relatively small and can get quite crowded, the vibrant atmosphere makes it worth the wait. We did have to wait a while to get a good table, but once we were seated, everything about the experience was simply delightful. The highlight of our visit was definitely the food. We were particularly eager to try camel tangia, a traditional Moroccan dish, and we were thrilled to find that Amornakoch Café offered it. The dish was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, with spices that beautifully captured the essence of Moroccan cuisine. Every bite was a treat, and it’s safe to say the food exceeded our expectations. Another charming aspect of the café is its evening ambiance. The warm night lights inside create a cozy, inviting vibe, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The décor and lighting perfectly complement the authentic culinary experience, providing a sense of both comfort and culture. Overall, I would highly recommend Amornakoch Café to anyone visiting Marrakech. Despite the wait for a table, the amazing food, especially the camel tangia, and the enchanting atmosphere make it well worth the visit.”
“Great tasting food offering traditional Morrocan food and American food. If you are looking for a nice place to chill after walking in the busy market then this is the place to be. The rooftop has a relaxing atmosphere and decor. I enjoyed my lamb couscous and so did my wife and our friends.”
