“A last minute decision to try this place as the restaurant we wanted to visit was closed. Reviews for this place seem good so decided to proceed....was a good decision. After a hot day to relax on the rooftop with a gentle breeze, we got there around 6.30pm quiet and relaxing. The beef tanjia was excellent, a very generous portion, tender and full of flavour. The lamb tajine with veg was good, meat little dry but again very nice indeed. I think we over did it by ordering the starters. Freshly squeezed oranges goes well with the meat dishes, cool and fresh. This place must go on your list to try if in Marrakesh. Staff very friendly and always happy to explain everything....even the traditional cooking methods ....you learn something new every day!”
“We had a wonderful time at El Kennaria. The place is awesome, the food is good (I really apprecieted hummus) and the service is top quality. Special mention for the guy who served at our table, HAMZA!
“We had a good experience, we arrived without reservation, early evening, the staff welcomed us, they were all very friendly. I found the restaurant spacious and comfortable chairs. Also very clean, we could see part of the kitchen where we sat, it was shining and everyone in the kitchen using hairnet. The food arrived in 20 min, I liked the vibe with live music too 😊”
“The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Hassan, who served us, was especially polite and helpful, as were all the other team members who attended to us. The dish I chose—couscous with beef—was delicious and beautifully presented. Overall, we left feeling very satisfied.”
“The food was a good introduction to food in Morocco. The beef tended to be tener and tasty but the chicken was dry and not as pleasant to eat. Overall the food is still good and worth a try. However, the main problem comes from the super slow service. It took around 5-10 minutes to get the staff attention to order food. Then, we ordered at 7:40pm and we only received the food at 8:30pm. There were other tables around us who experienced similarly long waiting times.”
“The food and service were really good. When we were there, there was live music too. We had the mixed Moroccan salad and briouates to share and then the vegetable couscous and minced meat tagine, again to share. Portions are huge and well priced. Definitely recommended.”
