“It was a pleasure to stay in Les Pyramides. We book direct on the spot when we arrive in Merzouga. Thanks to Ali, Lhoussaine, and Abdrhman for being a nice host. The place right in front of the dunes.”
“I don’t know if there is a camping closer to the dunes as you step right into the sand when you leave towards the big dune. We had a perfect room: our camper van 😁 but as we were traveling in early December season didn’t start yet and we had the entire camping for us alone. Big simple showers with perfectly warm water. Always clean toilets. We went to an almost 3.5hr 4x4 trip. It was awesome. A bit expensive though but it was my mistake. I made a negotiation mistake. But still 120€ in total for two was still worth it. Said was a funny guide and promised us to take us to no place where we will be attacked by vendors. He kept his word and my camera is full of insane impressions.”
“Stunning location where you step out and into the sand of the Sahara. Surrounded by impressive dunes, this is an idyllic spot to camp. A warm welcome with Moroccan tea and the whole place feels friendly, relaxed and informal. There are very pleasant seating areas from where you can enjoy views of the dunes. Dinner in the restaurant was traditional, plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend visiting and hope, one day to return.”
“The hotel owner is super nice and helpful. As some reviews say there is no electricity in the rooms - we had electricity in our rooms (2 sockets). I can only recommend the trip through the desert on camels to the desert camp to anyone.”
“This campsite has the most magnificent views over the dunes, lots of camels ! Showers hot toilets clean, WiFi only around Reception area, small town within walking distance, which has shops, cash machine , restaurants. Very helpful staff. Would definitely return!”
“Met one of the employers on the bus (Mohammed) and asked us to stay at this hotel, negotiated a price to stay and then to do a full day tour, we agreed on a reduced price for the full day tour me and my friend.. didn’t get half the things he mentioned we got a camel ride, sand boarding for 20 minutes, seen a tiny car museum and stayed at the camp, I researched the price of the camp and was clearly totally ripped of. Also room had cockroaches in it. After the camp I basically paid €130 for a camel ride, a pizza and a stupid tiny car museum that took 5 minutes, was told I was going to drive a quad bike, buried in the sand as well as other thing, My Moroccan friend even confirmed that we got a terrible deal Afterwards we went out ourself to find a place for another night and got a much better deal and quality as well as transport back to Ouarzazate. Only positive was the dinner is ok and a good price.”
