“Hassan and is family are very welcoming, very good people. All the place was very well arranged, there was hot water, the rooms are comfortable, bathroom and toilet very clean. Nomad bivouac is a place I would recommend to everybody and a place I would return. A very good and quite place to rest.”
“I stayed one night at this place. Price at booking was 9€ but the owner ask for 10€ but is okay not a big deal for me. Hassan offer to pickup me up at bus station and when I said I want to buy food for my dinner he refuse and said we can cook for you at home. But the price he gave me is more than double only for eggs tajine. I already said I want to buy from shop I don’t want to pay nonsense price but he not allowed me. The toilet and tent is clean, but tent too cold during night for winter and no any warmer, the plug point only at his storage room or in the toilet. Got lamp at the tent but how come no any plug point for charging.? And everytime I need to used charge I need to go to his storage room or in toilet. He try to selling his services to me, riding a camel or ride atv or bring me to the desert. Which is the price also nonsense and after I say no I’m not come here bring a lot of money, I start to realise he chance the way he treat me and become very rude person The next day i stay almost 15min in commons area greeting good morning to him and he avoids to talk or see at me. I feel Hassan very rude. After prepare my breakfast ( include the price ) he ate with me and barely didn’t speak with me. Almost he finish he just leave me with say anything ( why you come eat with me if you donno the manner) He seem not happy i’m gave only 10€ to him. But unfortunately i visited fews of Middle East countries so riding a camel, going to the desert not my first time.I go to this place because one of his friend recommend me to go visit him. But I’m not expecting to get very bad treatment from him. Before i will leave his place he also ask me to walking to the bus station alone, and I insist him to send me ( because that the deal before I book at his place he need to take me and send me to the station ) or else I will choose about option for sure. What more funny from his behaviour is, he drop me off 300 meter to the station bus, yes for sure I’m fine with walking but how come he can leave his customer only 300meter away not harm for me to walking also not harm for him to send me direct to the bus station. ps: Hassan the owner will treat you good if you bring money and spending more at his place. Unfortunately I definitely will not do that after I saw his real behaviour to treat his customers. I understand he want business for survive, but with treat customers like this without any smile at his face, definitely not recommend anyone to go there. I will avoid this place for another 100 years.”
“Hassan is a welcoming host and a true amazigh nomad. We slept there one night and it was comfortable and the food was great. I definitely recommend going out with the camels to watch the sunrise - it was an unforgettable experience.”
“Outstanding experience! Hussein is a great host, excellent service, food and location for anyone wanting to explore the Sahara Desert . Will definitely recommend!”
“It’s hard to find the right words to describe the kindness and helpfulness of Hassan. He is such a nice guy and helped us in every way you can imagine. It’s incredible to hear about his nomadic life as a kid, how he never went to school but speaks like 6 languages perfectly, when he talks about his family, simply impressive. The food was great, we got tea served all the time, the room and bathroom were clean. Hassan organised a desert tour with his cousin Omar and that was great too. All the people at the camp were so nice and gave their best for us.”
“Hassan is an amazing host. I arrived very early, and with no notice, he prepared the room for me with no issues and made me feel like family all the time. He booked me a trip to spend the night on the dessert 100% recommended and very good price!! If you want to experience the real deal in merzouga, this is the place you have to stay!!”
