“Beldy House is a traditional Moroccan restaurant that I unexpectedly visited for a late lunch around 5 pm when many other places were closed, but this one was open. I was pleasantly surprised by a delicious Moroccan-style chicken with amazing taste. The friendly girl working there, who also does the cooking. Everything was clean and well-maintained, making it a great spot for a meal.”
“AVOID AT ALL COSTS ! DISHONEST WAITRESS/COOK, BAD FOOD - TOURIST TRAP. The waitress doesn’t provide a menu with prices and invents a price at the end, completely taking advantage of you. As seen in many other comments, this is a common theme. Please read the comments and put this place out of business. It is places like this that are giving Ouarzazate a bad name. More details: There was no one in the restaurant but we thought we’d give it a try. Now we know why. The waitress, who is also the chef, greeted us kindly but we were quickly disappointed. We ordered a beef tagine and a rfissa. The tagine was fine and the rfissa was so terrible that we only ate the chicken and couldn’t even touch the rest. The msemen was dry and the plate was overall not good. When we went to pay, she charged us 400 dirham for 1 tagine, 1 rfissa, tea for 2, 2 soups, and a large bottle of water, which is completely ridiculous. The soup is usually 20 dirham max. in marrakesh and she charged us 50 dirham. It’s important to note that this would be the price in a super fancy restaurant in a much larger city. More importantly, my friend is Moroccan, from just outside the city, and she spoke to her in Berber. She was extremely disappointed to see her taking advantage of someone who was from the area so I can’t imagine what she would do to other clients. She disagreed with the price, as it was completely unreasonable for what we ordered, and she lowered it to 300, which was still to expensive, particularly since it wasn’t good. Dishonest waitress/cook - avoid at all costs. ***reaction to restaurant’s response - there was only one women working at the restaurant on 20 December 2025 so I don’t know why a revision of the cameras is necessary. I have posted a photo of the dishonest waitress/chef in question so future clients are aware, although I would avoid this place at all costs***
“Amazing authentic food, the staff were so lovely and helpful with good recommendations, we came here for lunch and then for dinner the following day! Would recommend to anyone passing through, some of the best food we have had!”
“This was one of the (if not the) best meals we had while traveling around Morocco! Sabrina is an incredible chef and hostess - we had the chef's salad with tuna, meat with prunes, and tagine chicken with french fries. My Moroccan husband said it was *the best* and most unique meat with prunes dish he's ever tried - it tasted super flavorful and was almost caramelized. We want to come back to Ourzazate just to eat here again!!”
“I had a great dinner here. The chicken was both cooked perfectly and in a delicious sauce with excellent frites as well as accompanied by very tasty freshly warmed bread. I liked the decor as well, elegant but relaxed. The baked goods are also great.”
“Great fodd, especially the chicken tajine. Lovely lady cook and serve us. She’s extremely gentle and nice. Very good !”
